Ok we get your point. Xbox 360 sells better than PS3...happy now?

Well actually no, thats not my point.

My point is I was searching my ass off just to find a 360 Premium.

And that I am building a gaming room with 2 x 360 and 2 x a HDTV with some nice soundgamingmats with 5.25 inch subwoofers in them to lay on while gaming.

But I guess the Sony fans are too much focussed on them believing it couldn't be true, its charming how much of them comes in a 360 thread like this.

2/3 of your original post was you ranting about how the 360 premium is low in stock and PS3 taking years to catch up to the 360.

You should check back again, you have selective brains.

But hey, it was a thing that came into my mind. It's 15 to max 20% of first post.

So are there any 360 fans around that have their own gaming room and have some pics of them or are there only PS3 fanboys in the 360 section haunting any topics for nonsense?

Alright so you want a phallus wagging contest do you....

Yeah I don't have a 360, big deal. I made a choice that the games didn't have any appeal for me and they still really don't. Additionally, I'm glad that I didn't have to suffer the RROD that some of my friends went through, not to mention gouging for additional things like Wireless and hard drives.

None the less I'm very satisfied with my 60GB PS3 which is hooked into my 7.1 1000Watt surround system and games look great on my 24" LCD PC monitor (via HDMI with resoultions upto 1920x1200)

Given that only in the past year the 360s have made many items standard, it probably would have cost me the same amount to get a 360 up to the level of a PS3 not to mention I probably would have frustrations with hardware problems.

P.S. My PS3 cures cancer. What does your 360 do?

P.P.S. Just because you're unable to locate a console doesn't mean it's selling well, it could mean that shipment sizes are small because of lack of demand.

Well nop, as my post says: I am building my gameroom. Its in the 360 section I don't need Sony fans to give their setup. But hey if you want to measure the mighty snake, be my guest.

Did I ask or say you need a 360? I have my 1st 360 still going strong and in my online friendlist I have far fewer people with overheating their 360 then the so called 'online survey' (read: many odd stories of PS3 fans with their so called 360 that said it overheated. Right). Second: I want my gaming connection wired. Best & most stable connection for preventing any lag to occur. You don't need WiFi period. You keep paying for it either way if you don't want it. Thats why the 360 Premium is 270 Euro and the PS3 400 now. Hard drives? Isn't that with the PS3 forced installs on the 40GB you need to stick in another big HDD that'll cost you 100 bucks? Or the composite cable in HD package (PS3 starts real HD right... with buying a HDMI cable?), or the headset that ain't included (so if you want online out of the box it is pretty boring silent)...

Your PS3 cures cancer... Last time I checked, it was still not curable. Secondly, why doesn't your PC do that? Or your washing machine? You know leaving on your PS3 burns the electricity and burns the black gold out of the earth that makes the North pole melt right? I rather have cancer cured later, then many houses flooded and people die dude.

Your last PS is nonsense. No company wants to sell a no, so there will always be shipments and storages to back up on demand. Short on storage in this stage of life cycle means the demand is high.

You say your point is about your game room and how hard it was for you to find another 360. That's fine. But you could've actually ended the post right there. The fact that you wanted to base rates and years till on par or w/e bs you're talking about is completely different than what you claim you intended. That last paragraph? It's nothing but trolling. Regardless of whether or not you posted it in the 360 section, it was in the main forums section under "Most active" or "New threads" and as a forum user, it doesnt matter what section its in to most. Something was stated, and discussion ensues.

Feel better?

Strange. My own post, my own thread and I may not say what comes into my mind? I should have stopped there because some members might get upset? Very strange indeed. That sounds like communism. Be sure to not talk about anything, everyone needs to censure themselves. Nice. So it popped in my mind, when I am talking about sales, that the direct competitor needs a long time before it would get on par.

I am saying, after one poster inhere said 2/3 of my post was about the sales of competitors that it was 15 to 20% of my total post, but it seems you and the other PS3 fans are trolling inhere. Its not even discussing anything, its just the usual moaning. I opened the tread, I posted the first post. I find the most comments here trolling, not my post. That was just stating some numbers, and the count everyone can do with 250k extra sales in 6 months.

Isn't a forum for reacting/discussions anymore? I get confused.

Spin it as you like. It is your thread, and as such you can write what you want at discretion of what is allowed. But you said you intended to post about your game room and not being able to find another 360. Then your final paragraph had nothing really to do with that sentiment, only with you pointing out numbers and such. In fact, how about this. Why did you not instead say something relating to the Wii? Why even mention the PS3 in a "360 thread" as you yourself put it. It's not about communism, it's about you knowing very well what you wrote and what it actually meant, not what you're trying to pass off.

Wrong again. No spinning. I inteded to post about the game room and unfindable 360 Premium. So is 80 to 85% of my post as I stated. With sales numbers it popped in my mind I just read the PS3 sold 1.56mln. first 6 months of this year and the 360 1.3mln. It popped in my mind and I wanted to write about it. May I do so without like how many PS3 fans exactly only picking that 15% to 20%, which is actually normal information? If I may remind you, the 360 and PS3 are direct competitors, so its normal to mention. The Wii isn't targeted on the same targetgroup of customers, at least, not untill the Fall dashboard update were Avatars and casual gaming comes more close and the 360 shifts a bit more to the casual 'Wii' target group also. Thats why not.

Yes it is about Sony communism. Go search how fast Sony fans jump on anything on N4G. Have been around here since 2 years or even a bit more and have seen things changing when the SDF jumped in on this site too bad.

Anyhow.

Is there anyone with some nice tips for a game room? I wanted to add the new Philips Ambiance stuff for lightning and there is also this package adding wind from ventilators in games etc. It is for PC first but read something about a consolepackage also. Anyone with an update on that?

Last thing I'm going to say in here and it's about numbers.

So at the PS3's Launch the 360 had sold roughly 8 or 9 million units. By the time the PS3 had been on the market for a year the difference in units sold was about 8 million more or less.

Currently now the difference between the 360 and PS3 that difference is down to about 5.5 million. So by that if the PS3 is catching up at a rate of roughly 3-4 million units every year then in 18 months the PS3 will have outsold the 360.

Let me counteract that. Wrong assumption. The PS3 had the launch sales, which makes the first big take on the gap. You have to look at sales this year. We see that the PS3 sold 250k more in the first half year world wide. That means, even if there is 5.5 mln. left as a gap it takes 11 years to even catch up, not even take a real 1st place.

If it sold 250k more in 6 months, how the hell is it going to get another 2.75 or even 3.75 mln. sold in 12 months more?
IF the difference is 5.5mln. now, because if the 360 sold 1.3 mln. this year up till now and the PS3 sold 1.56mln., knowing at the end of 2007 the PS3 was at what, as I can remember something something between 8 and 10mln., how do the PS3 sold numbers ever come up to 14.5 mln.? I bet those are sold to retailers, not consumers...

Martin, I usually don't mind you, but this was a little low... also, your logic is quite flawed.

I don't know about the wind package, or the ambiance, but I can point you to a motion controller that works with the couch.

Newer movies actually support this. Last one I remember was the second National Treasure movie. If you like that kind of stuff, I can point you in the right direction.

Also, tips: I used to have hardwood floor. Now I got carpeting. I personally thought it did wonders for the acoustics in the room.

For the AmBX windstuff (it does more also lights) for PC, check here (Dutch site, probably also English somewhere)

http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/nl/nl/consumer/cc/_productid_SGC5103BD_12_NL_CONSUMER/amBX-randapparatuur-voor-PC-games+SGC5103BD-12

They said for consoles they would probably make it also. There are Philips TV with ambilight behind it, but are more expensive.

Motion controller that works with the couch... Well I make my gaming room not with a couch, but two soundgamingmats you can lay on. Heavy subwoofers, that makes one feel the game already :P

The wooden floor is a good one. Almost my whole house has it already so thats good. Tip I got is put the speakers on 3 or 4 cones with the sharp point sticking in the speaker on the bottom. That way the neighbours won't have so much trouble with bass and the sounds will be spread in air instead of 'leaking' into the (wooden) floor.

Can a 32 inch screen really support 1080 p? I think I read somewhere that 1080p only makes real sense
iwth at least 42 inch screens. I don't know. Could a tech guy/gal clarify things?
