Nevermind, I misread this. Reading comprehension for the fail :\

"Insomniac as a studio are old friends of Naughty Dog's, and we talk to them a lot. We talk to all of the Sony affiliated studios a whole lot – we've got a great relationship with Evolution – and there's always been this friendship between Naughty Dog, Insomniac and Sucker Punch, who made the great Sly Cooper games and is doing Infamous now – and we compare notes all the time. We don't really trade anything concrete in terms of technology, but we definitely compare war stories of life in the trenches, and try and learn from each other's experiences."

Sucker Punch was never owned by Sony. Their first video game was Rocket: Robot on Wheels for the N64 in 1999 then in 2000 they signed a contract with Sony which binds them to the Playstation platforms.

I am sure that at one point Sucker Punch wasn't independent. And I am sure that was with Sony. Not like I haven't been wrong before, well it is. But I'll bow to your better knowledge.

Because no one here understands that second party means that you are legally bound to work for just one console, but are now owned by said company.

Hence both QD and MM would not be considered second party.
