clearly the answer is we should all get implants so that girls in video games don't feel self-conscious.

pssh, variety isn't equal.

smaller breasts have their benefits aswell, you can feel their heart when yuo hug them. bigger breassts are in the male psyche because larger breasts mean the woman is better to have children with because she can feed more children

I thought that was hip's and for bearing children... I don't think the size of said teet's matter when it comes to milk production.

And either way unless the next big thing in video gaming is based on child birth and their nutritional intake from the breasts I think its OK to use the sexual phenomenon known as breasts or physical attributes to make characters more hypnotizing/intriguing.
Video Games are not meant to be Reality.. More like fantasy most of the time.

MOST of the time :P those hwo have smaller breasts are actually better fighters because they have been exposed to more testosterone

I 'spose you could consider it degrading for almost every female character in a fighting game to have ZZ sized breasts, but I don't see why anyone should get so affected by it. As was said, the whole idea seems to sell really well. You know what kids are like. There'll always be games about teenage girls in schoolgirl/cowgirl uniforms killing zombies... Always. It's a fact of gaming life. Just be happy in the knowledge that there are people like Sephy out there for us to drool at.

Anyways I think this following comic sums things up.

But in all seriousness this boob fad will die. The most renown boobed character (Laura Croft) recently has had hers reduced. Sex will only sell to people of an age group or mentality. Eventually people get over it. For instance; Age of Conan.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of Crisis Core Sephy. He hasn't lost his mind at that time, and he's so friggin' awesome. The guys can have all the oversized boobs they want if Sephy's around.

Well in any event if womens are going to have big boobies without boobie jobs, then they should be proportionally big elsewhere to match.

This objectification of womens must end! They should be out of the video game action and back into the video game kitchen, just like Cooking Mama has demonstrated.

When Japanese men stop making games? I don't mind at all, when i'm fighting i'm not even looking at it. It's not just SC4 though, it's all games.

Erm... that's not the response I was looking for, but I guess it's on the right track.

Well womens, For Your Infomation, Nariko didn't have big boobies although they could have easily done it. Ninja Theory showed some restraint so all is not lost.

No they haven't, I can only think of a couple I find attractive most notably Dante, Jin and Sepiroth. women are not attracted to massive muscle bound freaks, we like em tonned not looking like they are about to pop any min, hence the reasion Arnie has never been considered a sex symbol.

Characters like Dante I think came about by a fluke and then they just ran with it when they realised there was a following.

Yes and at the same time all the characters have rather an airian race feel about em, I mean how many japanese games have black haird, brown eyed, flat chested lanky chracters in em?.

I've always thought it was a case of design by perverted nerds who want to make characters they would like to have in there Hentai fantasies (which would also explain the amount of femine looking men in alot of games aswell).

And sex doesn't sell, the series has been going since about 1998 perfectly well, soul blade did well, soul calibur did well, number 3 didn't because it wasn't different enough. the audience is well established putting massive boobs on em isn't going to attract new people who wouldn't be interested in the series anyway (it just puts me off it instead, that and the star wars characters).
