We know GoLeafGo, everyone has said that now, hehe.

But meepmoopmeep, Microsoft have obviously paid, otherwise that wouldn't be the case. And to be honest, the team doing FFXIII have never even touched a 360 dev kit yet. If they focus on PS3, there may yet have to be some SERIOUS cuts for the 360 version. Least of all the amount of disks.

Someone mentioned this on NeoGAF and no one had any way to answer him. It's actually not am impossibility that SE will screw themselves by not being able to release an on-par 360 version.

Lets wait and see, it's still a ways off.

yeah like PS360WII said,

Crystal Tools was developed with every platform in mind, so i don't think it will be too hard to port any game from one platform to another.

with your question, the compression to fit everything on multiple discs could possibly make the 360 version inferior (not saying that it will happen) but it's still a possibility now that Carmack has openly stated something about this. who knows, i don't care which is better or whatever, i just don't like the idea that a product is finished but we have to wait for the other platform to be completed before we get it.

I know the engine is designed for multiplatform. It doesn't mean it's impossible to excel the specific machines on those engines though. I would not be surprised if come 360 porting time, there are soem complications. And Come 360 portign time, the PS3 may be popualr enoguh for SE to bail out of the deal soemwhat and release early.

I just don't think it's gonna go smoothly that's all.

Let's see. Roll aroudn '09

Yeah lets just wait and see.  I mean they could easily have just as many problems moving the game over to the PS3 as they might with the 360.  Crystal Bearers is using the Crystal Tool engine for the Wii and that might be having troubles too.  We don't know as outsiders we can only speculate.

well, i think there was a statement a while ago that the PS3 was the lead platform when creating Crystal Tools so the PS3 might have a possible advantage. It still has the advantage being the lead platform for XIII anyhow.
i'm sure it will go smoothly. the XIII team could always seek help from the devs doing SO4, LR and IU.

I'm 100% sure its not going to be easy,
SE said the game will not be delayed ,they will work on X360 port while working US/EU Ps3 version, from this I think they saying that X360 port will take as much time as US/EU Ps3 version(localization and voice acting),and I really don’t believe this at all.
I'm sure the game will be delay because of X360 port

Did they actually just straight up and say that?  I must of missed something

well, it was reported by Gamespot, but no, the words did not come straight out of the horses mouth. only speculation by the gamespot journalist.

Just wanted to explain this to OP.

SE did put the ball back into Sony's court, and not only that, but they benched half the MS team. MS has XIII (which NO ONE in Japan can buy). Sony has FF Versus XIII (still exclusive), FF XIII Agito (PSP exclusive), FFXIII Demo (PS3 exclusive), 3rd Birthday (PSP exclusive), Dissidia PSP bundle, and KH BBS(PSP exclusive).

Now think about this. In Japan, millions of people will be buying PSPs non stop to get these games, and many more will buy ACC. They just made Sony a pile of cash. It may not appeal to you, but the ball is DEFINITELY in Sony's court...

What would a guy from a "chicago suburb" care about japan...

Thats, probably the reason people are upset...no one close to home (n4g mainly europe and NA), got anything huge, which is what they were expecting.

(im talking about the fans of Sony, not Sony itself)

Exactly, I think breakfast knows what I'm talking about, and as I mentioned in the main post that FFVII is my favorite game of all time

But you said in the OP

"In the end SE didn't swing the ball back to Sony by this announcement "

Which is what this guy is protesting.

The ball was swung, even if you still aren't happy.

I agree.. SE was said to put the ball back in SONY's court; not in some guys living room in Chicago.  It also assures gamers one thing; if you want to get the "true" FF experience, you'll have to play it on some sort of SONY platform; which in the end, it's what SONY really wants.  Either way, they're going to make money.

Think I said soemthign to that effect earlier on, so I totally agree.

You will only be able to experience Fabula Novalis Crystalis Mumbalis crapola fully on a Playstation of some sort. And versus seems to be a much more Western game anyway.

And like I ahev said, let the time roll around, I can't wait to see what porblems there are.

I'm not trying to say we shouldn't be upset, I meant to just point out that Sony does have the upperhand now, whether everyone here liked the announcements or not. I don't have a PSP, and a demo is nothing for me, since I KNOW I'm buying the game, but I see what SE did

Square-enix just gave the psp AND ps3 a good boost in sales in the near future in japan. whether u like it or not, that's irrelevant and NOT what square said.

No 360 version in japan is just becaz they hadn't started development yet, that's all,no love

Still is the keyword, wait for TGS or next E3 for versus on 360,If MS was able to make FFXIII multiplat, making Versus multiplat is like piece of cake.

PSP is the best selling console in japan for months so bringing 2 mobile games to PSP isn't showing love to SONY they just showed love to where more money is.

Demo is PS3 exclusive caz they didn't have the dev kits for 360,it is not a favor from SE.

Overall there wasn't any love from SE,not that it should be,but some ppl think there was

it might not be intentional but the ball did go to Sony, regardless. it is still in Sony's favor.
the sales from the PS3 AC:Complete bundle will be significant in JPN, i guarantee this.
