ORIGINAL: Skerj Hahaha dude you didn't see Haze was a train wreck from the onset? I mean everyone WANTED it to be good but you could tell from the previews, videos, and screenshots it would be average at best. The demo sealed the fate for many, interesting premise, craptacular execution. On the LBP thing, you raised some salient points even though I don't necessarily agree with them. The game for me is sold on the principle that I can do nearly whatever I want, and then play it with my friends, the rest of the world be damned. Of course I'll partake in the other user's content if their stuff interests me, but my enjoyment isn't dependent on it because I'll still get to make my own stuff. So that 50/50 you threw up is null for me. However, if the points you raised were raised by Gamedaily in the way you pointed them out (WHICH THEY WEREN'T), then people wouldn't be in such an uproar. It's been raised in the past by other outlets and has been understood by the followers. Gamefaily on the other hand likes to stir the pot for hits, most evident by the MGS4 review lambasting for things that were clearly resolved in Act 2 then the following MGS4 "Top 10" list to piss off the fanboys. Unprofessional at its best and I for one won't be giving them another hit ever, I hope it catches on so they can go away. This is why I like coming to the forums... sometimes you can just have a nice discussion without all the insults, and just talk to other great minds in gaming... you raise a good point, one I was not even thinking about, a lot of people will just make there own content and play with friends and family and be happy with that.... I wasn't even thinking about the people who will just like it because it's something cool they can play with family and friends, those people will make up a huge part of the market... so that is a very good point indeed. quote:
ORIGINAL: LJWooly The thing is, crazyglues, if the people who have actually played LBP are to be believed, then this game is every bit as brilliant as one would come to expect, whereas Haze hands-on previews pointed towards... mediocre. This is a rather different situation from the Haze one. That too, a lot of valid game sites have given it really good reviews, so yes, if they are to be believed it should be an amazing time. I myself can't wait for this game to come out.....
