I would just like to point out to you podcast lads that there was nothing wrong with the orange box on PS3, and that by spreading false information about it you're just denying a lot of gamers the chance to play some of the best games ever made. That's not cool.

The comment about the Orange Box on PS3 was an exagerrated joke about the response a lot of PS3 fanboys had about the framerate and loading issues in EA's port.  They weren't that severe, but it caused a huge ruckus and led to several petitions and many fanboys swearing that they would never buy another Valve or EA game.  Most of the normal, reasonable, intelligent PS3 fans saw that the issues were rather minor (although noticible) overall.   Because of that response, the joke was that I wouldn't figure that the folks who had complained so vociferiously would want EA to port Left 4 Dead to the PS3.

We certainly weren't "spreading false information", and I apologize if it came off like a serious criticism of the game because it wasn't intended to be.

There are problems with the PS3 Orange Box, especially Team Fortress (however it’s better after the patch) but the game is perfectly playable.

Anyway my 360 is offline for a few weeks, meaning I’ll have to wait to play this Braid game – woe is me!

no accounting for taste! (and like, er, I forgot who, I preferred ICO to SotC, too)

I cannot help that I liked SotC better than ICO and I hope their next game is something along those lines.  Honestly though I dunno what all the hooplah is over that developer.  They make good games, but nothing I line up for....oh snaps my opinion just broke teh interwebs.

Yeah, Adam loved SotC but I think ICO is just more my style of game.

I guess my enthusiasm for their games is less like my enthusiasm for, say, R&C, and more like the sort of appreciation of a new experience.  Like the buzz over something like Echochrome, it inspires a different sort of passion.

Yes, Ico was a incredible piece of art.  I completly agree with that, and I must say that it was I that said Braid could be this gens Ico.

Speeking of art....   ......   How about a game that can be played differently .....   based on ..   how you feel!!!!!

Or a game of intense color for certain situations and a great void of color for other situations.

Or a game by which, you have to show mercy to the enemy,  NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah okay. I didn't get that it was a joke, but then again I might not have been listening carefully enough.
However, I still maintain that the only problem at all is loading times. No framerate problems aside from the odd drop when you're quicksaving during an action heavy moment (which lasts approx. 2 seconds) or when over a dozen explosives go off on screen simultaneously. TF2 only has framerate troubles for the first 5 seconds of any game. They're horrendous for those 5 seconds, but afterwards the game is silky smooth. Given that a lot of malleable young gamers listen to your podcast, I'd much rather hear you spread that message than making jokes that could be wrongly interpreted.
No hard feelings. Good luck with the next episode.

I can just hear you saying this in my head. I like the colour idea... GTA kind of gave random moments of grey thunderstorms that happened to fall it certain sullen parts of the game for me. I liked the happy coincidence aspect. Also, a bright sunny day with horrible **** goin' down fed my dark side.

KillerWolverine, thanks for the PS add...

Wombat, nice reply for the Orange Box debate...

ZT, I'm gonna PSN you....

I'm giving out so much love today.

Catastrophe, you get my vote.
