MGO needs to learn a thing or two from Halo 3.

I only hear my friends through my headset, I changed the settings so that people I don't know play through my TV's speakers.

From the Halo 3 Career Stats thread it is obvious I have played a lot of Halo 3, and a lot of Xbox Live. I run into the occasional 'sh*t talker', but I find this rare. And when I do, I use the Halo 3 A-hole button which takes about half a second and that's it.

I know we have different perspectives, but I pity you for having to use text messages while talking to friends in-game.

why pity me; I choose to use the text messages as opposed to talking.  It's preference.  For someone who always cries about being entitled to your opinion and what you think, you like to take shots at other's opinions and preferences.  I can mute people, and i can listen to certain people.  But i prefer not bothering.  I like the message system because like i said, i only use 3 or 4, and it's done by pressing two buttons (they are preset).  You may be lucky; but my experiences on PSN and from what I hear from every other person, is that XBL suffers from the same annoying people talking crap.  Bottom line, is that i prefer to play without having people talking crap.  People tend to get caught up in conversation or just talk crap.  It gets annoying, and is distracting.  The connections work just fine; using blue tooth headsets sounds better than talking on a cell phone.  But i prefer not using it; all my friends have some sort of headset.  But none of us really bother using it; whether we're playing with strangers, or together.

Either way, this isn't a feature special to any.  Both give you the option to talk, so this shouldn't be a consideration.

Dont worry, I don't forget your right to an opinion. I apologize if you were in any way offended.

I just think you are doing an awful lot of grasping. But then again I have like 2 hours lifetime experience of PSN, so maybe there are a lot more ****s out their. When I play free-for-all ranked matches I don't use my mic to save battery power. It gets lonely and oh too quiet for my tastes.

lol I have 975/1000 points in Halo 3 because I refuse to play Lone Wolves, which for some reason is the only playlist you can get the 5 achievements I have left.

I hear them whenever I play Resistance online. Bunch of ****s.

Last time I played this one guy would keep going "Yaa, you like that bitch?" every time he killed someone. I think Twisst was in that game too.

Does anyone else here find MGO to be mediocre? It doesn't do the single-player game justice, in my opinion.

Lol with the exception of one title psn is integrated into every game.

Nope. There is one universal friends list that does far more than say the in game or out of game friendslist on psn, you cant invite people from there or barely do anything. Many games seem to have individual friendslist on psn, and you have to use those to invite people instead of one friendslist that can do that plus far more which is far more easier and works alot better than some games with individual friendslist. They can be good, but since its up to the dev, its can be good or it might not work too well.

Which games snoop? The only games which seem to have friend lists different from the PSN one are MGS4 and Warhawk. I would consider that couple (literal meaning of two) rather then a lot (more then 5)

Though I do agree that there should be
1. mandatory trophy support.
2. GREATER implementation of PSN into games

If those are satisfied then I could compare PSN and Live, but as of now,  Live kills PSN.

There are more. GTA4, COD4, Motorstorm, GRAW 2 etc. A weird thing about Graw 2 for example You cant just add friends right from your list which just seems weird.

The other ones show whos in that game true, but not the xmb which i think would be better(unless cod4 got a big update sine i played it last, cause i havent played it in ages). What if you could just add the invite system and everything else into the the xmb its self(cross game invites would work that way too) in every game? I think that would be far better than having to deal with say a GRAW 2 friends list than say the 360 version where just hit the xbox 360 button on my 360 and can access everything from there, and not have to add people to another friendslist. In xbl there is one universal friendslist that works very well and does far more.

That was more what i was referring to.

But really i can live with most of that, the in game messaging helped alot, the only thing that annoys me is that i can't get some people into chat rooms becasue either my nat setting is off or theirs is. I can usually tweak mine and chat with most people but there are some i can literally never chat with.

Sorry for any errors, jsut waking up from a nap lol

Blasphemy. Its a pretty different game from the singleplayer but it is a different online game from the other shooters out there. Team sneak, Sneaking mission, Capture mission and bases all work well with their specific MGO twists. I think MGO is awesome and it is probably best multiplayer game i have played on psn since warhawk

I agree, MGO is a pretty nice game, i think that the only thing that i would like it to have is dedicated server, but the game is pretty nice and its really fun when you play with the N4G Marauders

Well,as PSN gets more updates and stronger support,it isn't really a Ford anymore Zhuk.Maybe a Honda?

Besides Live isn't Ferrari because there is still lag in many games and reporting someone does'nt really do anything.

    Maybe.???

You know what sucks that only some games have trophies, Yes I know that they just released trophies, but when they were devoleping trophies they should of put it in to most if not all of the ps3 games out there, I know it would of been a fuss but hey it would bring a great boost to the ps3.

Xbox live is very good in my eyes even though I do not have a xbox360 because they have achievements in all there games, even in there XBLA games!
