Christ! thanks macalatus....I never saw this. Had no idea he went off the deep end....

This place is no longer worthwhile, the main site and the site as a whole will never be a top dog site and thats a fact, it will never attain the status of sites like IGN,gamespot...ect
It will remain in the lower ranks with SPG and the like, and why? because its user controlled in every facet it is user controlled, stories submitted, control of opinion, control of the right to express that opinion are all in user control.
you cannot have an opinion if that opinion is negative if you do not have 5 or so pages of data to back up that opinion, so when someone posts a video of some person using there hands to do the word jingle from a song and you dont like it and say you dont like it you have to give atleast a paragraph of the reason why you dont like it....But mind you if you loved it? you can say one setence liners like that was awesome i loved it, or Great video thanks for sharing and this will be acceptable.
*or in the case of dukester when it comes to a holographic waterhorse in japan, i think its pretty cool none the less*

(and serenty agreed with me and couldn't figure out why it was deleted except that it was a lil mean...awesome lets delete a message cause its mean...santa isn't real..thats mean...the easter bunny isn't real thats mean. you may get cancer one day because of the polution in the enviorment...thats mean.)
Bubbles: can be brought down by any member, and you mods and you admins cannot tell me that its not been abused and you cannot tell me you've done the magical thing of going through said comments and finding what was ok and what was not and giving those members back they're bubbles.
Reports are still automatic, and even though the mods are allowed power on the main site, I still see many instances of favoritism and blatant ignoreing of fanboyism of the new gamerzone *you know the one the one where every one comments in that one and pretty much doesn't comment in the open zone any more*
Contests: way too many of them and based upon the worst criteria EVER, yet again this month the same top 10 or about 80% of the same will win what 4th? 5th month in a row? and money? all it did was encourage people to mass contribute fluff stories about the format wars, and console war.
Acceptance of articles from any source regardless of veracity of the claims and often times the articles are still pushed on through by friendly lil groups in the contributions.
Higher contribution based upon mass of stories submmited? a broken system from the start because it was user controlled and then automatic because of mass stories submitted.
This site is not about gamer news, its about blu ray and hd dvd war, and Game video comparisons...ect and thats a fact, 80% of the front page is dominated by these types of articles, fights over games, fights over comparisons, fights over the format war.
I forget half the problems I have with this place.
Oh the moderators were not chosen because of an actual survey, they we're basically chosen at random of the most active people on the forum at the time thats a bad thing.
