Same network. Where are you getting that only 5gbs can be downloaded? Also if that even was the case (it isn't) why couldn't it be raised?

Why not waste the space if you can have a 320 gig PS3?

I have a 40GB....they should leave retail games boxed and not on PSN we have enough with game installs, demos, movies, trailers, PSN games...there is no need for full retail games

I don't see why people are complaining. If you want to get the boxed version then you can, but if you want to get the digital version then you can. You get the best of both worlds.

He's complaining, because if this downloading of full games becomes successful, then developers will most likely start relying on it far more in the future, forcing people with smaller hard drives, to upgrade, or be left behind.

Well, people like me, the ones who still have the standard 60GB HDD on their PS3, are already having somewhat of a strain put on them in this regard, but I hope you're right. I might upgrade soon though, just in case.

I could be wrong, but our current connection speed is not that fast. It would take hours to download full retail exclusive games. I can see Sony putting multiplatform retail games on the PSN with the boxed version available in retail stores, but exclusive games would have to be on blu-ray only unless they're small games like SIREN and Warhawk.

i'm in the same boat.  I still have my 80gb hdd(but i plan on upgrading within the next couple of months).  I always believed downloadable games are the way of the future; back when this online thing started you can see it; "what if you can download games into a harddrive?".  It's beginning to happen; developers prefer it because it is safer for them from being stolen and it can't be re-sold.  Also, i believe it's cheaper for them, and it would be cheaper for us.  But the time isn't here yet; internet speeds will have to be a certain level worldwide to make it viable.  But we are on the way.

"I am pretty sure Heavenly Sword, Drakes, and Rachet were all like 10 hour games, and didn't have MP, and were on your Blue Ray."

Thats why I said moving Fooooooorward. You know pushing the limits.Besides thats 2007,its time to move forward and stop dwelling on the past.Yes those games were small but now and later development can put more into Uber Blu-Ray.

30GB,40 GB,50 GB 1 Disc
