PS. Bootsielon dude I got a ps3 and dude resistance is not better than halo in any way. The ps3 must truly be your first ever console because Resistance is just average all around games in the past and in the present have overshadowed it.
lol, Gears is WAY better than Halo, it does not need to reach Halo status (unless you are talking about hype, which is almost up there), and even then it is a short game and its storyline is not really as good as resistances.
As for Halo, almost nearly every FPS is better than Halo in terms of single player. But why waste the time arguing with you? You have a Halo avatar, kinda pointless.
Besides, I find it ironic that your name is "SOCOM nick" and that you say nothing good is coming to PS3, as if you have played all the unreleased games, especially SOCOM. "RESISTANCE IS JUST AVERAGE LOL" you have probably played the first level and that is it. IGN gave resistance 9.1, Gameinformer gave it 9.5. However, you probably trust Edge and Eurogamer more which gave resistance a 6 out of 10, yet they gave halo a 9 out of 10. Hell, they gave Mass Effect and Bioshock, much better games with higher production values and originality and storyline an 8 out of 10.
Resistance beats Halo in terms of better storyline, more length, higher resolution, more original guns, and battles with a lot more intensity. Halo 3 is only fun when it comes to multiplayer, and even then COD4 beat it. Halo 3, which came 2 years in the life of Xbox 360 (which is easy to develop for) did not look better (just more colorful) than the first resistance, which came out when PS3 first launched. Take off your fanboy goggles if you want to be a gamer.
Halos only innovations is bringing what PC had for years to consoles, and still it was just an incremental upgrade over what consoles had, so when I first played Halo I thought "another Doom clone". Goldeneye certainly raised the bar for the next generation which is why Halo just was not enough for me. And since to me, storyline and mood setting are very important, I consider Resistance leaps and bounds beyond Halo.
I think the next Resistance 2 will raise the bar very high for the next FPS to come, in terms of amount of players, interactivity inside multiplayer matches, co-op with lots of players and RPG elements, and one of the best storylines to ever grace an FPS, so when you are speaking as if it was not good even though you have not even played it (not even the first one), you are coming out as very ignorant. True, I have not played it either, but insomniac has always delivered, and by the looks of it I am right; hell, we do not even know all the details about R2 yet.
Anyway, you probably just have a PS3 to feel better about your inner 360 fanboy. Too bad, your loss because you will be missing the next Resistance and Motorstorm, sequels to very fun games. Maybe if your responses were not as predictable as they are in the news Zone you would have more credibility.
