Currently have
AMD 64 X2 4200 2.2 Ghz
Western Digital 400GB SATA HDD
4 GB DDR memory
Nvidia 8800 GTX graphics card
550 watt power supply
DVD Writter
CD Rom

I've been considering upgrading some of the parts. The motherboard to support SLI, a better processor, and add on another 8800 GTX

You got the best processor and good enough ram, I suggest getting a new graphics card to replace that X1550. Get a Geforce 8800 as its the best graphics card out there.

You probably spent more than just the cost of the parts. Thats why I always do it myself. Anyway, specs below...

Nice, hangman. I need to some some upgrading myself, but unfortunatley my budget has been a little streched lately.

Core 2 Duo E6700, 2 Gigs RAM, 8800 GTX.

Waiting to upgrade to the next Nvidia cards in Nov. The 8800 GTX totally pwns DX9 but still struggle with DX10 games.
