Washington (dbTechno) - Scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) laboratory in Switzerland are set to turn on the Large Hadron Collider next Wednesday. Many though are not all that excited, and instead are very worried about what this will mean. The Large Hadron Collider is set to be turned on next Wednesday, and is being used to try and re-create the effects of the Big Bang. The Big Bang is one of the biggest mysteries of the universe, as it is believed that this one moment helped create our entire universe. The Large Hadron Collider is a particle accelerator that is going to send protons around a ring that is 17-miles below the ground. Many are against the Large Hadron Collider test though, as the belief from those against the test is that it could actually create a black hole. This could in turn, put mankind at risk. A lawsuit has been filed against CERN with the European Court of Human Rights. The lawsuit, filed by a professor, believes that by putting the Large Hadron Collider on, it will create a black hole. The construction for the device was approved in 1995, and the first high-energy collision is set to start after it is officially unveiled on October 21, 2008. CERN has put out a report to try and keep critics from getting too worried. Source Now who thinks this could actually create a black hole, it's pretty damn scary though, I don't think it should be turned on as what if it does create a black hole. it will not create a blackhole of any signifigance.it may last for a micro second and wont be large enough to do anything.
