actually you want MS to go, they are what replaced sega, sony was in the gaming industry with nintendo for audio back in the NES and partially the SNES days and were going to help create a disc based system called the Nintedo Playstation but Sony backed out at the last moment, so sony was around at genesis/dreamcast

You could also say the Sony is what replaced Atari

atari still supported the 2600 up till 1990. MS bought several places like Rare during the N64 days and i feel that helped the demise of the dreamcast. BUT ANWAY back on topic

the ps4 wont be out at 2011, its far too soon, especially for a 10 year lifecycle

I o't think it's necesary to bring out the ps4, there is so much to do with the ps3 system and to experience it more, If they do bring out the ps4, please make the game disc smaller,

Sony didn't over do it though, and they also had a large appeal to the core gamers as well, they had an extremely well balance between core and casual, that's how they did so good the last two gens

The only reason they would bring out the PS4 in 2011 is if MS and Nintendo release it that year and they want head to head competition

Edit: and yes Sony had a boat load of casual games and was not balanced either. It's just focused more on the Wii but that's neither here nor there. PS4 is the talk

How is 2011 too soon when...

The PS3 came 6 years after the PS2 launched? Sony says 10 years life for their consoles, but that doesn't mean they come 10 years after each other.

I'd say: Sony doesn't want to be last again to launch. In normal ways it would come 6 years after the PS3 launched, so somewhere around 2012, but they might speed up things to take on Microsoft again like the PS2 was released one year before the XBOX 1.

the only problem is they went downhill in videogamig, look at sonic, the sega mascot

it will come out in 2014 but we sony will probally show us some new stuff on it when the xbox is released just to kill ms hype for there garbage i mean next system.the ps3 is suppose to live until to 2016 so 2 years before it's mark we will see the ps4 like wit ps2 and ps3.

Did I say that Sega > Sony?

All I said was that there was resentment. Sega in their golden age are most likely greater than Sony in their golden age. But right now Sony is greater. And Sega has lost it. (For the time being)
