Personally, I'd have to go with an older car, and preferably, one that I could conceivably afford.

Looks like a pretty good deal. You should be able to get that price down though. You could probably get it for $3600 if you work the guy right. You need to check the car out. Drive it to a mechanic you trust and get him to check it out. Most of the time (about 95%) you can't get a bad Honda.

A few things you should ask the the guy is when was the last time he got a new timing belt for it, how old are the CV joints (if you hear popping sounds when you're turning its your CV joints), how long since he put a new clutch in it, when was the last tune up, and ask how well he maintained the car altogether.

If it needs any of these things get him to do them before you buy the car or make him adjust the price accordingly.
