Status: offline 		With the direction that Live is headed, I think the next Xbox will be as much of a gaming machine as it is an HTPC.  It will directly compete with the Apple TV and may spur Apple to enter the gaming industry.  Its name will likely contain the words 'Live' and 'Box' in it.

I DO think MS will keep the "XBOX" name in there. THey have been using the XBOX brand for 2 generations now and i DOUBT they will scrap it for a new one. That is like Starting ALL over again. The name XBOX is widely known now and That is why i think they will stick with it.

if its still x-something and a green colour scheme; consumers will put two and two together.

hell the system will sell if its any good - not if its got xbox in front of its name.

If i'd have told you 4 years ago that a system named "Wii" would be the market leader you wouldn't have believed me. the name is pretty much irrelevant.
