Status: offline 		I could care less, as long as they fix the PSP store.  It's officially impossible to goto the PSP store via the PSP to download demos and games.  All of the demos that you are able to see are for freaking PS3, NOT PSP.  Sony needs to get it together, and also add more to their library of older games.  I want FF7 dammit!  Well, there are a lot more I want, but that would be freaking awesome.... F the remake, just port it to your damn PSP... give me SOMETHING!

Official Japanese Playstation site announces next PSN system maintenace.
It starts from Apr 1st to 2nd. For two days. quite a big maintenance. definitely something comes.

The new Store will no longer be browser based in the same way the current Store is, making things A LOT faster and smoother; hence the required firmware update.
On the back end, this switch in systems means having to port all of the current code over to the new Store, and, since the new Store is less “texty” and more “visual”, it also means having to create a whole bunch of new art assets just for this Store.
We appreciate everyone understanding that these things take time, and appreciate everyone’s patience. We’re just as excited about the new Store as you are!

It wasn't region locked b4. (all that means is Sony won't mess up your dowloads with an account you make for EU or JP content) There won't be a universal store if thats what your thinking.

Status: offline 		Judging from the recent preview, I'd say it is a major improvement. Definitly looks better, easier to navigate  and also not browser based.
