Wouldn't you guys want to go in to it blind, some times too much information can be a bad thing, thats why leading up to games I am looking for, I don't read any previews, and try to occupy my mind with something else

HaHa! Thanks for sharing that, I never participated in the MGS online for PS2.
At first I watched it without sound and it looked like they doing a musical number or something, which then resulted into getting pwnt

Thepro318 forgot to mention that all credit goes to fuzzysquash  . Even if he isn't an N4G member, all credit still goes to fuzzysquash from gamespot.

good info thread...stickied.

@ sonarus... i could care less about this game. I played the original on the PS1 and never got into it. it's just not my style, even if it happens to be Sony's flagship title for the PS3

This excuse doesn't make sense to me, because MGS4 plays almost nothing like MGS1. So much has changed.

The stealth element seems more of a tool than a necessity now. I for one welcome this, as pure stealth isn't my style. I just always loved the realism of killing enemies. 1 shot to the head with any gun, none of the 80 bullet Halo/UT/etc. nonsense, even though those games are relatively fun.

that was more or less a counter to sonarus flaimbait-comment  made earlier piting all 360 owners for not purchasing a PS3 and MGS4

Oh. Well I hadn't read his prior to reading Duke's. I'd personally encourage someone to get a PS3 for this title but it's not the end of the world if you can't play it.

Now that all these previews are in, people should shut the hell up.

No, there's no chance of MGS4 being a disappointment, and yes, you fail.

My comment was not meant as flamebait and i don't believe in buying a console for just one game. However ps3 has a lot going for it with blu ray and some pretty good games i just consider MGS4 as the straw that breaks the camel's back. MGS4 may not be the game to make one buy a ps3, however when you look at the other greats coming like GOW3, FF13, LBP, GT5 and a bunch of others, the ps3 will prove itself worthy to meet the needs of most gamers.

Coming from a guy with all three consoles, there are better games than MGS4 mate so i dont think that comment you made there can be justified.

Back to subject, cool thread dude i like it, looking forward to this game

@predator. As of right now and this yr, though i haven't played it, i honestly don't think there will be a better game than MGS4. However that is just my opinion. MGS4

I don't believe anything will beat MGS, the thing tying it being GTA perhaps, although they are in completely different leagues.

NG2, Gears 2, Banjo Kazooie 3, Fable, and Killzone 2 (my "top" picks for this year other than the two above, ironically only one PS3 game) I believe will not even graze the bottom of MGS's ass as they will be just under it, drowning in a pool of fleshy gluteus.

anyone know anything about wtf is up with the konami website!?  It is an absolte shambles of a website.  I have been trying to register my beta account for like and hour and it still wont go through.  I cant even get past the users agreement because their ****ty ass site says that I have been timed out.  Loading times are horendous (fyi, I have 8Mb/s upload and download so its not my connection).  Worst idea kojima has ever had.

edit: I got it, you put in your Postal Code in the zip code area and your 4 digit password is the one you use to log onot games.
