and I would go with, FFX was good stuff i dont even know why, but that's when you know its good, when you don't know why u like it and u just do anyways...let's not forget, FINAL FANTASY TACTICS!!!! Possibly the best one yet, mostly because you only fight there, there's no looking for hidden treasures or finding secret summons, well..there is, but it's not super hard to do so anywayz, but after I played it, I said, "THIS GAME BETTER BE PORTED ONTO SOME PORTABLE DEVICE!!" GBA had there rendition(fun, yet the judges/rules made it stupid, and jail). And the PSP version basically kept me awake in Discrete Math for a whole quarter, especially with the Dark Knight job/class, I worked real hard to get that and then raped house with him...

There is something about FFXII, when it was released, it got like perfect scores from X-play(which claims to hate FF games) and other places gave it close to perfect scores. A lot of people that actually played the whole thing(only counting FF fans), or played through enough of it - not the demo that reviewers get - thought otherwise. I played through it and beat it and realized how the story was so predictable from the beginning(some of it) and thought that might have been it's weakpoint, even tho for the first time i noticed, the story actually made since. But as did FFX, FFXII kept me playing for hours and never left my ps2 for a long time! So it's gotta go up there as one of the top, and I loved the gambits, added a lot of strategy there, the battle system in general was fun for me. Let's not forget all the hunts and other side quests out there, a lot of good stuff to be had...I even have yojimbo killed, YEA EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!!! that guy had like 50Million hp

Now, if only they would make Dissidia for PS3...that could be our SoulCalibur or our Smash Bros. depending on how it plays...with the rpg leveling it had in the videos/trailers, it would be better suited as a SoulCalibur type fighting game...you guys should look this game up, get a psp, and play me online whenever it is released

ff9 was the best in terms of quality.super deformed characters are great.ffx1
will forever be known as an anathema to most ff fans.

you guys shouldn't answer if you haven't played aany other final fantasy besides the recent ones. that wouldn't be fair jugdment. i personally don't care for the series too much. ironically enough the one i did enjoy playing was 7 ( not even te finished version), the only one i've played.

I would also like to tell you guys that I really liked FF X-2's battle system. The story was meh (like FFXII meh in my opinion) but I like those fast paced active time battle system, I got hooked trying to get the best Desspheres and unlocking all of there special abilities. I passed the game a few times to get the best item (Iron Duke) and passed it 100% also to get the Mascot Dressphere.

FFX for me, then FFVII was a close second. I am currently replaying FFXII and its not as bad as people say.

FF12 has the worst,least engrossing storyline in the franchise.
the characters were nice,but if i want political intrigues i watch the
parliament channel? or the west wing.

I like ll of them but I would hve to sy it's FF6. It had everything. Next would 7 then 8 right behind it because the GF system was great. Oh yeah 8 has the best intro ever. That fight scene mixed with the music and the way everything flowed together was Square at their finest.

Not to be a bastard or anything... But i wasnt a big fan of 8... I thought the whole time compression storyline was weak and didnt to much like the gameplay either...

I wanted a FF4 console remake but i guess i'll just have to be satisfied with a handheld sigh...
