second half the season? there's only like 4 weeks left.. rooney and tevez can't score without ronaldo setting them up. he's the best in the world at the moment. if his form falls (which i doubt it will) man u won't be putting up 4 goals a match. they'll be lucky to get 1 or 2.

in comparison, without Cesc, arsenal can still function in relatively high gear. without ronaldo, you get no goals and no assists.

and yes, i am jealous that you signed him instead of us. we actually tried to sign him, but man u had a former coach at sporting, so they had extra push.

well 4 weeks does not  make it second PART of the season any less.
he's probably the best attacking player in the world, and that's not the only
reason Utd managed to sign him.Utd are a great team and to make great teams you need great players.
i personally think Rooney is still the most talented player in this team.the one with the most potential.Ronaldo can't win a match alone.
there's a full team alongside him coached by the best manager in english football history for the last 2 decades and the best defence in the league.

thats a joke when you say ronaldo can't win games alone. how many times has he saved united from dropping 2 points, making something out of nothing when the rest of the team couldn't accomplish anything. i have no doubt that united is a great team, but given a team of arsenal's talent, they'll definitely challenge for the title this year and many coming years. especially with rumors that ronaldo is going to leave in the summer for a ridiculously large amount of money

ok,you want him to leave, that's wishful thinking.i also think that Fabregas has been going to Madrid for 2 years now,
and that Ronaldinho will be moving to Tottenham.Again you forget one important factor:Fergie.now,he saves utd?well,
that's the role of a team player and the team as a whole.if there were no Rooney,Tevez,Giggs....every player on the opposing teams would permanently mark him.i dare say that you r comment is a little bit biased.football has never been a question of a single player on
the field.yes,he outshines most of his team mateds on the pitch, but if you can find one single player in the Utd model team,
that is not world class,i would be surprised.when hey really gel together,Utd plays the most impressiveand devastating attacking football in the world, and maybe Wenger should look for gdefenders or midfielders who know how to head a ball.not just groundplay.

you want devastating attacking football, you've got the wrong team for that. i do admire fergie, but Wenger is a better manager than him. but of course you'll say he won the treble. they beat arsenal in the league by a scant one or two points, they beat a gimped arsenal team in the fa cup, and they got lucky with two goals in the last 5 minutes against munich. i'm not saying they didn't deserve it, but the cards did fall on their side of the draw most of the time.

and arsenal's defense is great. is that we don't have a completely reliable keeper yet. Almunia still isn't top shelf, and Lehmann is getting old. if we had a cech or van der sar, we'd be miles better than any other defense. besides, ground balls are more fun to play than air balls. its why england can't do ****. they lob the ball in and hope for the best.

i assume you play soccer, and anyone who plays knows that sliding that perfect pass between defenders is miles more satisfying than kicking it over the defense and hoping your forwards run onto it.

if you watch united every week like i do then you would no that united can win games, be ronaldo on form, playing or not, when you get goals from all over the team in the likes of tevez, rooney, nani, giggs, vidic and even rio then you know ur the best.

Ronaldo is the best in the world but hes not the be end all, we hammered Asrenal 4 - 0 and that was without ronaldo, when you have a team as strong in depth as united and the quality of players there is no need to relay on one player, Liverpool relay on one player and look where that got them when they played us.

face it, as a team there is no better at the mo than United.

you hammered an arsenal team playing at half strength without fullbacks. what an achievement. maybe if your team averaged 22 years of age that game, it would have been more even...

i can't wait for you guys to play barca in the semis. they'll rip you apart.

i agree with Bonsai

even though Barca is looking a bit ragged at the moment, i still think they will beat Man U when they need to.

yes i play football and i usually have a passer's role.however i specialise in long aerial balls, not crosses.
and believe,me,it's equally satisfying to deliver the perfect cross a la beckham.you are blinded by bias if you think
UTD has all going for it,i'm not speaking of treble or anything right now,i don't dwell on the past, and yes,UTD actually produces the most
devastating attacking football in england. What does Barcelona have to do with this, this is not a thread for decrepit Spanish teams marred by
internal fights, this is all about the premier league.take a look at the stats and see who's on top,
has the best scoring record,
best defensive record,
best goal difference,
best goalscorer(S)
and is 5 teams on top.
which has played the most match this season after Chelsea.
and no,Fergie is still the best manager out there.
maybe Arsenal would score more goals if they had a complete range of passes.
high and low..sometimes you just feel that they create superfluous movement.
4-0.Everyone has to deal with player shortages my friend.the captain has been out
for so long now,and UTD still managed to win the league last time despite the numerous injuries,
Finally, there is no merit in saying that you have a team averaging 22 years.that's not an excuse,
under the strict rules of logic this is BAD PLANNING.maybe they'll reap the rewards maybe not.because Chelsea is the only
main contender for UTD,and they will always buy great players,so will UTD to keep the pace.

That's wishful thinking my dear.Barca reap Utd apart?you're on the wrong end of
the looking glass my friend.
Maybe when Arsenal wins the Champions League, you will be pacified, but that will
probably never happen.
Only great teams win.

noticeable event being Liverpool consolidating it's place just after the top 3.

Manchester United   2
Arsenal FC              1

Looks like title hopes have vanished for the Gunners.
Great match though.

But Nani's going to receive the special 'Ferguson hairdryer' shock i fear.

Kudos to Ashton, his goal was as good as Tevez's.
