Will you be able to change the controls in GTAIV because I only have a PS3 and I am interested in GTAIV, but from the controls that i've seen so far, it looks like we're going to shoot with the R2 button, but I can't play that way, I have to have R1 and L1 as the primary buttons instead of R2 and L2, I still want to drive with the R2 and L2 buttons since they're very good when it's being used as accelerator and break, this could change my dicesion about buying the game. and do you guys think that every game should let you change the controls, like I got used to the CoD4 controls, then when I played RSV2, the controls are different, like you run with R2 instead of clicking on L3.

I also want to clear this up, you guys were talking about a PS2 port of GoW:CoO, buy it's been confirmed by Ready At Dawn that there wouldn't be one. http://www.readyatdawn.com/news.php?offset=3&news_toc=0&pr_toc=0

I've got some paid vacation time saved up, so I'm taking off Monday and Tuesday to play Mario Kart Wii and GTA4 pretty much nonstop just after their release. Have any of you done something similar? This is the closest I can come to getting paid to play video games.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and evreyone seems to hate on Gamestop (not saying you guys do.) Why so much hate for Gamestop?

Sure they buy low and sell high with used games, but that's only if you let them if I want to sell a game fast I trade it in at Gamestop if I want value for it I throw it on Ebay. I just don't get why so many seem to hate the store.

I am sure you guys are gonna see this question, and I wish I was there so I could answer him, so one of you say this.

I hate gamestop becasue they fired me for "stealing time" as if I was some super villian named....time twister or some other queer name. I also hate how corporate they are, EB Games was a fun place to work. KW, myself, and that other guy (Sorry B didnt know if you wanted to be named or not) we had a great time there. Gamestop came in and messed it up for everybody.

I know you are all into GTA IV, but this kind of is about GTA.

One of the podcasts you talked about Spiderman 2 and the wow factor it had the first time you would play it. This made think because I had the same feeling, but something that I found to be more fun, was the graphics, animation and the sound. Those three things except for perhaps spiderman himself every other person looked like crap and animated like crap. Also there comments was so bad that it was fun. So I had just as much fun with the things that is considered bad in a game as the things that worked. If you played the game did you have the same feeling and do you have other games that is so bad that they are fun.
If you like things like that go to 1up and watch broken pixels, so fun

GTA as freeroaming game is also very good to find things that was not meant and sometimes that is the best about a game.

another question...
since all of the n4g crew worked @ gamestop or EB be4
have you been presure to suggest a really bad game to ur customers?
eg: tons of Lair(PS3) in stock in wal-mart electronic department... my manager tells me to try and clean it out

I only do it to some annoying customers and the customers that pissed me off. hahaha

PS: I think killer wolferine mic is broken half way through the last podcast (good things he yell half of the time... just kidding) great podcast keeps it up

Edit: If one gaming franchise i would kill it would be the petz/hamsterz/dogz/ponyz stuff... lol

Hi. This'll be my first question, since ive only recently begun to listen to you guys. Think its a supergreat show! Last podcast you said which franchaise you would kill, so ill start by saying "fuck you Zero"....for having your own opinion^^.
But my question still goes to Zero (of course to the others too, but ive gotten the impression of you as the biggest Metal GEAR! (cool voice) fan in the room. In MGS4 there's been said that there's a cutscene which will blow our minds out, explain everything and so on. So my question is: what do you guys think it will be about?

Hello pod,

I'm a new listener here, all the way from sunny London - sorry I missed the countless previous pods but seeing as we now have GTA IV and all other games were rubbish in comparison, weren't they all pointless??? haha... well, some would believe so with the GTA loving that's going on!!! Great pod this week, got me threw an afternoon polishing my room, having a break from GTA after a few hours...

Right - Gambus, so far I have nothing to complain about. I am quite under the spell of your superbly timed pauses during sentences. I reckon the pod may be half the length without them, to be fair and this would be a bad thing...

My questions - GTA based, seeing as this pod is going to be mainly based on Rockstars latest stroke of genius...

1) Have any of you noticed any film references?? Apart from the obvious...

I noticed a Dustin Hoffman in 'Midnight Cowboy' reference in your thrd mission with Vlad

He gives it the 'walkin' here' to a yellow cab too.... Don't know how or why I remembered that, but it's a pretty good scene in both.

2) You reckon there'll be any DLC for the fuzzy channels on you telly in the safe house?? I haven't got any further, his new place will probably have digital and loads more...

3) How do you find the driving?? It's hard at first, abit slower and more realistic. Reminds me of the old London-based game 'The Getaway'... ps. What happened to the new one of those?

4) Do you think Michelle is fit/hot/tasty/reem/any word you wanna use? I like her hair. My real misses was not pleased I had virtual dates. I've promised to take her bowling soon...! But, for the record, I do put her before gaming. I'm an old fashioned romantic and if this means I'm not a hardcore gamer then so be it.

5) Is Gambus a security guard?

I really enjoy the podcast. I love when you guys give each other shit. It reminds me of when I sit around talking games with my friends. So the question.....

Have any of you guys used any of the game trading sites? I personally use goozex.com and have found it to work really well for getting me better value for trading games then I get trading in at gamestop.

Keep up the great work with the show and BTW I can't stand Final Fantasy and wish it would go away. If I wanted cut scenes I would watch the shitty FF movie.

Hey guys,

I've been listening to the show for a while now but just recently joined the fourms. and i love it all! heres my question, to my dismay my ps3 crapped out. (insert a smug remark for an xbox fanboy) it froze during gameplay and now dosent reconize the disc. i sent it back to sony but i was wondering if you guys have ever heard of such a thing? I kinda blame you guys because of all this "great" uncharted talk i finally picked it up and it broke just 5mins. in. just joking.

That happened to my first PS3. I was playing COD4 online and it just froze and then wouldn't recognize discs anymore. Luckily I picked up a warranty at Best Buy when I bought it, so I just went and picked up a new one the next day.

Since GTA4 came out, I figure this is a good time finally throw out a question. What's the most interesting/memerable thing that has happened to you so far while playing?

Mine was online while playing team deathmatch.I took a turn to fast in a car and took out a fire hydrant. The pressure from the water flipped my car over killing someone that was shooting at me. Pretty crazy stuff.

Oh yeah, one more huge question. It's really important. Well, I have a 720p, 1080i HD tv. I was thinking about purchasing a 1080p set, but I wanna know if there is a huge differance between 720p and 1080p tv's? I wanna 1080p set so bad, but I dont wanna buy a another set if it isnt a night a day differance, ya know what I mean?

Hey guys, wassup,

I saw this subject in the forums which is:Kotaku VS PS3.Well there's some oblivious bias and hate, you can see what I am talking about in the topic. By the way, I was a hardcore Kotaku addict, that was before i found out about N4G. Anyway I still like the site as they bring some eccentric news.

And this week, it is going to be the GTA IV talk all episode, so you must have already talked about this earlier in the episode, but gta was getting perfect scores from the media, but the game is not perfect, yet far from it, with many weak aspects like the story, it can't get a ten, and don't tell me that gta isn't about the story, it should be considered or i can say that warhawk is the best game out there.

So getting into the crux of the matter, the gaming journalism is taking a horrible turn, what do you think of what's happening? Possible solutions?

PS: tell Gambus that he must try harder to get some real hate mail, he can't become Wolverine overnight.
