yeah, they were suppose to get the bonus disc in today or tomorrow but it was delayed. but my friend is going to let me know the moment shipments come in so i'll keep you guys posted.
i just found out about the LE today. uber happy cause i was going to order from Gamestop from the US and it would have cost me $125 to get it shipped here. whew!

lol, my EB Games has no info for me on if they're even expecting it, but the guy said he's heard of it and I should probably just call in a few days and see if it's there.

Heh, after getting my monies from work, I am now 1/16th the way to getting MGS4:GOTP - LE. They didn't have the bonus disk, but I'm sure they will by wednesday as per the retarded 2 day delay on US/Canadian releases.

Honestly, we only get Canadian made games on their release dates. Anything else is 2+ days.

I actually have no idea why they are sending out the discs, cool as it may be but this will probably be on the torrent sites like Battefield bad company beta was.

I JUST GOT MY MGS4 DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had to cancel my preOrder from lamestop. (gamestop) i hate them now they suck, I had been loyal to them but now since Gamecrazy satisfied my need and had the dvd sooner than lamestop, from now on they will have my business.
SO YEAH I GOT MY DVD!!!!!!! AND MY ONLINE BETA CODE!!!!!!

My local Gamestop sucks sweaty, salty balls...they seem to constantly act "clueless". I just called them a few minutes earlier about my so-called "beta code" and disc, and one employee told me that they "haven't gotten it yet". It didn't want to make a big scene or raise the issue out of it, thinking that's simply inconsistencies among different Gamestop branches, but I'm REALLY having second doubts.

PS. Does anyone willing to give me their beta code for $50? Actually, just kidding!!

I agree wtih you macalatus, I have lost all faith in Gamestop. They have let me down, just like you .. every time i called to ask about the beta disc dvd, they acted like they had no iead wtf i was callin for... =\

So i suggest trying other game oulet stores.

To be honest, I'm more upset about Gamestop employees acting like humanity's golden "missing link" than me not being able to get a hold of the beta code and DVD. I just called the nearest Gamecrazy but they only have the "regular" MGS4 available for pre-order (I have my LE MGS4 already pre-ordered at my local "idiot town" Gamespot, so I'll stick to that one instead). I'll busy anyway with other things when the beta comes out (hell, I'll still end up playing the damn online game anyways)...plus I'm actually more hyped up with the upcoming Warhawk v1.3 patch than the beta itself.

Feels good to have the peace of mind knowing you got it. Gamestop will get it eventually. I am trying to get one for a friend of mine so i kept my gamestop preorder regardless.

I've called my gamestop and they have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm not surprised by the least bit, but it's still discouraging. Here's hopes to gamestop eventually getting their discs in. I know they will because the company itself lives and breathes off of preorders, so if they want to keep the million pre-orders they have for the game, they will ensure that disc comes in.

Oh, sorry I wasn't able to fully explain myself (I was in my campus computer lab and it was closing time when I made that post). My case is that my local Gamespot employee told me that they were going "to call" me about the code. Later, when I upgraded my MGS4 pre-order to limited edition, I asked about the code. The guy (a different employee) told me that it was supposed to be e-mailed to me. I told him that the other guy told me that they were going to call me; the same guy who took my regular pre-order didn't even bother to get my e-mail. When I told the other guy that I wasn't told it would be an e-mail kind of thing, he took a quick step back and made a (veeeerrrrryyyy obvious) quick explanation. His explanation was that the first guy didn't exactly know what was going on, and made (with subtle nervousness) a quick reassurance to me that the code wasn't mailed yet. So he took my e-mail address and told me it would come "soon". Unfortunately, three weeks later, the e-mail containing the code never came...but you lucky bastards got it weeks earlier.

Sad thing is...I may never get the damn code. But like I said in my first post, I really don't care now about it.

So the lesson here boys and girls, is that Gamespot will try their best to get your pre-order money...only to just get your money and do a "quarter-assed" service to you consumers!
