k guys i was trying to switch out the original 360 headset cuz it blows, with a logitech headset that i was using for my pc. i spliced the wires and there were 4 just as stated but the colors weren't the same as the original set. instead of it having the white and blue like it says there should be, i got black and green. so when i was testing it I got the speakers to work by connecting the red wire to sp+ and the green to sp- with the bare wire on M- so the only spot i had left open was the M+ which is where i put the black wire but the sound was very faint and it seemed the mic wouldn't work, when playin cod4. So any help would be appreciated. Here a diagram of the board below, that i found on the net..

Woah....thats all kinds of stuff I know nothing about. I would be impressed if anyone here can truley help you. I see you just joined, I assume in your quest for info. Have you tried any of those technical fourms? None of their exact names come to mind, but I've seen them.

Judging from the pic I can't seem to tell where wires are going but from your description i would say that exchanging the first set, the SP wires may help. I got my logitech to work with the 360 adapter so it's doable.

the pic that i posted isnt the actuall pic of my board and wiring. i just put a pic of the board so everyone kinda knew where my wires were. i got 4 wires comming off the headset, they are the bare wire a black wire, a red wire and a green wire. I can only get the speakers to work and i got that by soldering the red wire to sp+ and the green wire to sp- with the bare wire soldered to M-. I tryed soldering the black wire to M+ but it didnt seem to work and i have no clue where ealse to connect it to make the mic work properly. the image i posted was so others knew what the board looked like and to see if anyone had any suggestions that could help me.

Here Diselage this is a pic of the headset im trying to convert http://www.pc-express.com.au/images/logitech_internet_chat_headset.jpg.

So you think trying to switch the speakers wires around would make the mic work? does it matter where there soldered for the speakers to function properly?
