so i have nba 2k8, Grid, Cod4, Everybody's Golf, GTA IV, and Stranglehold - i have also had the orange box.

i need a new game but cant make a decision on which one - was thinking about Civilization Revolutionz as i played the demo and kinda liked it just wasn't keen the the turn based system it uses - not like Red Alert (a fav of mine) any views on this one?

also currently downloading the Lego Indiana Jones demo but i doubt i'll like that - any help and comments appreciated!!

Get Uncharted, it is the best current ps3 game out there.

There's this game called 'Metal 4 Solid Gear' or something. It's supposed to be decent.

Uncharted aint for me, a mates got it and i had a little play just seemed very "samey" apart from some of the vehicle scenes. not worth my money i feel.

MGS4 is more like a movie with the bloody 45min long cut scenes, i mean come on i pay to play not pay to watch.....well actually i do have sky so aint really true but you get my jist!

see my problem - 2 of the main games people are chattin about Uncharted and MGS4 just aren't my cup o' tea

You seem to know what you do and don't like (which is a good thing), so here's two games which might be worth a good look if you're not specifically looking for a shooter.

Burnout Paradise - Fast cars, big crashes, lots of stuff to do and a very friendly online community.
Folklore - Almost like Pokemon for an older audience. Should be able to find it quite cheap.

I think demos are available for both of those, the best part of Burnout is going online with people so do bear that in mind as well.

i hand't actually thought of Burnout which i really should have done as i have heard the new bike patch that includes Day/Night rotation is awesome so i may have to have a gander at that.

Folklore i think i may have to find a demo of first as pokemon for adults sounds..... well how shall i say.....silly?

From what I understand, the bikes are pay-for dlc, but the day\night cycle is free. Then later on there will be another update which increases the size of the city.

Folklore is definitely a niche title, but it's worth looking at just in case you find it interesting.

If you want to pick up something small, do a forum search for PSN titles, there are lots of topics talking about those.

oh ok, didn't know that about the bikes, not that it puts me off or anything.

i do have most of the PSN games already bar elephunk as i feel thats just plain stupid. The 2 main ones i was contemplating was Warhawk or Fatal Inertia. i will make my mind up on those at some point but i do enjoy having a proper game to play i.e on bluray.

kinda thining battlefield hench the new thread on that, wanna find out what people think etc.

To be unnecessarily pedantic, Warhawk does have a Blu-Ray version, I started a thread about Warhawk a few days back and have now been convinced to buy it myself, it does look really good.

I hope that whatever you buy, you enjoy it
