sorry guys for the fanboyish sounding headline but i wanted to know if ninja gaiden 2 was really good or not.
i never owned a ninja game except for one of the old school shinobi games for
genesis.
This fall theres a bunch of games coming out and i have it planned to pick up ratchet and clank, uncharted, M.A.G., and either demon souls or ninja gaiden sigma 2.

i was leaning on sigma 2 but i heard this version isnt bloody like the 360 version.

so to ppl who played ninja gaiden 2...would it be a better choice instead of demon souls even though i never really played ninja style games.

All I know is I loved the first Ninja Gaiden, and this one is supposed to feature Co-op for the first time. I can live w/o the Gore, it really isn't important. Totally getting this game when it comes out.
 
Its weird how Tecmo is shying away from the violence now though. Like with their new game Quantum, they've stated that they aren't interested in heavy gore.

they are supposedly making it 1080p with 60fps, but cutting out the blood seems like a bad trade.
is it the kind of game that if u cut out the blood, then it takes away from the overall experience (like cutting out blood from gears of wars chainsaw kills).
cuz i like games with blood, but it doesnt kill me if it isnt bloody(uncharted, infamous). but u know, some games need it(dead space, gears, gow).
and if that is true, then maybe demon souls is the better choice. so do u think it will affect the game ina more negative way?

That is kind of a superficial reason not to enjoy a game - no blood!? I'm sure the game will be fun either way. Reminds me of the Mortal Kombat days when people used to use the blood cheats, it didn't make a difference when I was a little kid, and it doesn't now.

If you have the choice, I would wait for Sigma 2, but Ninja Gaiden 2 is a solid rental.  I stopped buying single player games aside from RPGs, because they are just too short now a days.  Personally, I never cared about how much blood was being sprayed, but it does seem a tad more realistic than the purple essence.  If I was you, I'd rent them both.  As far as a game goes, you can never go wrong with Ninja Gaiden.

1. the excess blood/gore was only a visual  trick to stere your eyes from the lack of detail the Xbox 2 version lacked cuz of the limited data space of DVD9 and the limited graphical power of the Xbox 2. 

i personally thought the buckets of blood that flowed from the dead was stupid, and what footage shows heads disappearing??
2. its Not really a  port of a good game  but a Build from the ground up on PS3 more or less new game like dev said (whats his name) hence going to be the Definitive make others Massively jealous superior version of Ninja Gaiden 2 

3. Beta tested by xbox kids so bound to play better on the PS3. case in point camera fix.

o but as for the topic Q. Not, unless you a Xbox fanboy then it has to suck now, cuz PS3 version is clearly the superior version and that just erks some.

according to the article Mwaan(thanks) gave me the 360 version has better graphics.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is very good. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing but the difficulty is at the highest level. The game is more punishing than it is rewarding. I mean if anyone remembers that one chapter, I believe it was chapter 9, where you are in the snowy ww2 setting and these robot things just slash you up while a buttload of soldiers are firing like 100 rockets at you, UGH! That part pissed me the phuck off. The game really gets to you. Ninja Gaiden 2 on Acolyte (Easy) is the equivalent to a Hard difficulty on another game. Whoever beats this game on Master Ninja has my upmost respect.

   

 

Being a hard core Ninja Gaiden fan (and I might add one of the few gamers in the world that beat both games on its hardest difficulty ;) ), I have to say that Ninja Gaiden 2 is as sweet as the first one.  The camera is not a problem once you get used to it. 

I personally prefer the 360 version because I'm a gore hound.  Love the blood.  I would pissed if they changed it to a purple mist.  The addition to co-op in the ps3 version doesn't interest me since that would make the game to easy.  Ninja Gaiden to me has always been about being a hard core single player experience.

Oh come on now... It wasn't THAT hard. Mentor was a solid challenge and Master Ninja was close to impossible but Acolyte and Warrior weren't too hard.

As for the OP's question... "ninja gaiden, suck or not?" 

Ninja Gaiden 2 is far from sucking. An easy buy if you ask me... especially at the price you could find it for now.

That is what I plan on doing.  Owning multiple systems has really made me have to be pickier about what I decide to drop $59.99 on.

You can find Ninja Gaiden 2 for super cheap now and from what I hear/see Demon's Souls is a great game also.

And for future reference.. don't ask if a game sucks and then tell people they aren't reading the point of the thread when they say it doesn't.

I am sure Ninja Gaiden 2 is a great game, but there is something about Demon's Soul that I can't wait to play.  But thats just me, I would go with Demon's Soul.

i see ur point masterblaster, but i meant the parts where they said i somehow suck. thats the difference.

but because of your guys help i think ill get demon souls and rent sigma 2. if its as hard as some of you guys say it is (like being unrewarding for the work u put in) then it might not be the game for me. i heard demon souls is hard also but very rewarding.
it was the coop that got me interested in sigma 2, but halo pointed out that its a better experience playing alone.
when i rent it later and i like it alot...then ill probably pick it up when it goes on sale later down the road.
