So from the IGN podcast Beyond they have been sent the review copy of Ni No Kuni ... so that is awesome... do not know when they can start posting reivews on that... I can't wait for this game it is going to be awesome...

The demo is bang on controls and the fighting system in it is works so well....

I am 100% in any one else getting this game day one???

I am as long as my wallet does not throw up on me or is filled with butterfly's

Here is IGNs preview of the battle system from IGN... they so have a video that talk about the first 2 hours of the game the only problem is they do give spoilers in that video... but not so much in this video it is more on the battle system...

Been mildly interested in the game for about a year.

Shows "Best 2013 RPG" promise, but we'll have to wait and see.

I just found out there's a steelbook case you can get by pre-ordering at Gamestop. I have the game pre-ordered for $50, but I'm thinking about paying $60 +tax instead to get this case.

Yes, the DS did have a bunch of amazing RPGs and other sorts I loved Raidiant Historia and TWEWY the two Shin Megami were decent but not quite as great as others, although it is a pretty high benchmark i suppose

Looking forward to the game but not as hyped as so many people seem to be. Don't get me wrong the art style looks beautiful (reminds me of Sly Cooper) and it looks fun but I'm not sucked into the hype yet (then again maybe if it wasn't a PS3 exclusive less people would be touching themselves any time a mention of the game comes up). Will be nice having another RPG to play though, although I still have Blue Dragon and Tales of Vesperia to play soon.

What hype? the game has no hype other than the JRPG fans. Compared to games like The Last of Us, The Last Gaurdian, Gears, uncharted, etc etc.. this game is practically invisible.

Also didn't like Blue Dragon at all, but Tales of Vesperia was fun. Thou I think I'd still rank Lost Odyssey as one of the best JRPGs this gen (which isn't saying much due to the handful of JRPGs we have gotten)

Plus, LEVEL-5 makes some great JRPGs. DQ8 being my fav. game from them.

Most ps3 fanboys don't even know the game exists. It's mostly the RPG fans who are hyping it. I mean judging just from the artwork itself I would too.

The game is going flying waay under the radar, only jrpg fans know of it.

I love studio ghibli and anime but I know I wont like the gameplay because Ive never been a fan of turnbased RPGs, only FF7. Ill just go watch Princess mononoke for the 25th time instead. It really does look beautiful tho.

If you don't like turn based why does FF7 get a free ride?

FF7 had one of the most generic turn based combats... so i'm intrigued to this question too.

In terms of 'turn based RPGs', FF7 would be at the bottom when it comes to turn based combat. Everything is a step up, so if u've been avoiding JRPGs because of turn based combat, you shouldn't.
Plus, I've always been in to FF, and other JRPGs for the story and grand universe.

I can't wait for this game. I don't watch anime, but Level 5 makes my favorite rpgs. I hope this is more like their ps2 games and less like WKC.

Maybe I just feel old....4 moths and I will be 37... Not looking forward to 40 so it is bothering me... Don;t know why... just it is on my mind a lot... End of this month and it will be 15 years of marriage... just lots of mile stones... Daughter is already talking about driving and wanting to save up for a car... that does not make me feel better... lol just seems like getting old... lots of mile stones will do that...

I feel you. My kiddies are 8 & 10. I don't want them to get older. Been married a year longer than you and I just turned 40. Still a gamer and so are my kids!
