Can't believe no one here liked L.A. Noire. I thought the game was freaking amazing, hands down the top overall experience of this generation for me so far. Still have 20+ upcoming and previously released games to play though, this is most definitely subject to change.

I actually would have put LA Noire on disliked. I didn't like the game at all unf. Felt like Mafia game, where it's open world but it's not at the same time. I got to disc 2 on 360, then just stopped playing

Dislike- Dead Space

I haven't yet played Dishonored or Far Cry 3 though.

Well It looks like Uncharted 2 cracked the 30 points mark and... I loved that game but did not think it would have done as well as it did with all the great games that was launched this generation so far...

it is to bad the thread got derailed a bit there... that said...

I would like to thank everyone for posting and putting up for picks.. it sure did catch em off guard with how some of the games were on the list...

I am shocked about all the CODS at the bottom... that said they are fun but they are sure not ground breaking like many of the others at the top of the list...

That's a fair thing to say, and I'm sure I'd enjoy it as again, I'm a big, big fan of Hennig's work with LoK as that is one of my favourite game series. Another problem I had with UC1 though is that I really don't like or care for Nathan Drake. He is nowhere near the character Raziel or Kain were. Alas, if I do give the series another run I'd insist on playing UC1 first as I do not like the idea of skipping titles in Hennig's works. I had to play every LoK title (or at least painstakingly thoroughly read the entire plot of, in the case of the original Blood Omen) more than once to truly appreciate the grandiosity of the storytelling, granted she only wrote 3 of the titles, but she tied together the story masterfully with Defiance.

I haven't played Uncharted 2 because I wasn't a huge fan of Uncharted 1, but as far as dialogue/story goes, without even playing it I can be pretty certain that it will be unparalleled given that Amy Hennig was at the helm for all three titles. Her work with the Legacy of Kain series is not close to comparable to anything else as far as dialogue and strong characters go, and I'm sure the same can probably be said for those Uncharted games.

Edit: made a terrible mistake. Bayonetta is the best game I played dis gen. Followed by UC 2 and Crackdown

The game was no where near as exciting and thrilling as I expected. It was monotonous. The controls were easy, it was just so, so...boring. I remember I bought it with a bunch of friends and after about 2 hours we all went and exchanged it

Uncharted 2 takes the biscuit this gen, Mass Effect close 2nd due to the sheer ambition the title had gone for and finally Infamous, frying people with lightning = win.
Disliked Pick: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Too much of the same meant I couldn't even play it past the first mission whereas I had completed the previous titles.

I've explained it before, I love alot of Ps3 games, I just feel the wrong ones get recognition. I'm exactly the same as MD on Uncharted, I like it. Good game, something I look forward too. But that's it really. It's just another good game that is fun to play and looks nice. The story's are very basic/predictable etc the musical score is nothing amazing(cept that menu music). It has good writing and characters sure....but...that's like watching Breaking bad or Game of thrones and nothing interesting happens in them/storywise/twists/mystery/deaths etc. I don't understand how it gets rated so high is all. I'd see the series as something people would unanimously like but still have games that that stand out above all, uncharted stands out with it's cutscene/gameplay crossover and that's the only thing it stands out in for me. But it seems i'm wrong, obviously this is something special to people and is just not for me. Same with LbP(which I troll alot)

We will go in circles... I picked Uncharted 2 because it was the game that I enjoyed the most. Because no other game had what IMO is the most well constructed SP and the best overall experience a game that appeals to me could offer. Don't question why, just accept it.
