I say rent Prototype, then on your way home from the rental store, stop at a games store and buy inFamous.

ONE WORD... - Infamous -.... it's a much better game then prototype, and the story was amazing and gameplay is great.. it's awesome... worth the money...

Now prototype is kind of lame... it starts off good but get's weak really quick so I would say infamous.. ftw

They are 2 different kinds of game. Both equally as good. It's an opinion as to which one might be better. Rent both to see which one you prefer.

Get inFAMOUS first, like Tony Scarboni said it's loads of fun when it gets going, Prototype to me is more of a pick up and play game something that's fun when you start playing it but you might end up playing it in short periods at a time, inFAMOUS for example had me playing continuously but after playing Prototype for a few minutes I got a little bit bored.

Definitely inFamous. That game overall looks and play better. Not to mention that inFamous also has better reviews than Prototype... You will enjoy inFamous so rent it. Its not that repetitive as the guy above makes it out to be. Its only get a little repetitve during the side missions but its not that noticeable

Played both, beat inFAMOUS, only got 1/2 way through Prototype

I would definetly recommend inFAMOUS, it takes a while to get going, but when it does the game is really fun. The story is good enough to keep you interested until things start picking up.

Prototype on the other hand is a little too easy. The gameplay is easier and the story isn't kinda boring.

Overall I would give Prototype a 2.5/5 and inFAMOUS a 3.5/5.

havent played prototype but i did platium infamous

uhmm infamous kind of repitive, but they make it so that its fun.

like one side mission was a war between the thugs an trash bags etc.
