08 sucked, i was just wondering if i should get 09, i mean i don't think they would make the 20th anniversary a garbage game, but you never know. so i guess i'm asking if it's any good, or if i have to wait until nba2k9 comes out to satisfy my sport game craving

Wait for Tiger woods 09 if you need to wait for a game.

The demo was decent, I wonder how good the franchise mode is, I might pick this up when I get money, but then again, I need to spend 200 on a new racket =(, so I am debating waiting for tiger, which I know I will like, or getting madden, which I am not sure about.

Don't insult EA 2.0 dude... They will rock your Madden mind.

On a serious note, I am in the UK, and don't have a single clue about American Football. It could be crap. Juts look at some gameplay videos.

I was one who enjoyed Madden 08 for what it brought to the table: the only freaking place to play as some NFL teams against friends.

Madden 09 is a vast improvement over last year's version. Tackles are better, animations are crisper, no more crazy 30-foot jumps for interceptions or receptions, you can actually recover a fumble in a pile!

Man...this game is good. I'd go for it.

If youre looking to play online DONT get it...IDK if its just terrible luck but for me i only completed 2 online matches (1 which was unranked) and my record is 1-22 all because of connection drops...So online for me is a huge waste and i bought the game for online...

Its madden and it is one of the best in year's. I like it a lot but it is harder then the others.

i say yes, this is the first one i've liked alot since madden 05... so far ive really only like 02,05,09 out of the new millenium ones (personally i liked the sega ones when they could make NFL games) but it plays well and looks great, of course it has its glitches but less than usual and this is the first time in a while that i've liked it more than NCAA.... and the difficulty feature keeps the games realistic

all in all im surprised, pleased and impressed

I was questioning buying the game because i don't play online or anything just Franchise mode which you mentioned. They didn't add really anything to the new franchise mode, they did make the build a stadium a little bit cooler but they didn't update that much, however i have only had it for two days. If you like franchise modes like i do it will still keep you busy but I'm not going to tell you its worth paying 60 for since its almost the same as 08.
