ok well im taking an old 100 gig laptop hard drive that failed (like beyond epic failure) on me long ago and im going to try to get it working.. but WITHOUT a lid on it, i feel the main issue is the reserved sectors are screwed so i want to change it, anyone know the terminal mkfs command to do it?

The ways i've fixed my hard drives, or... rather... reformatted them... was throwing them across the room. Seriously! I got mad one day so I ripped out my slave drive with like... 250 gigs full of crap... threw it across the room, put it back in and it had nothing on it...

is that all? ive smashed them, shot one with a 12 gauge shotgun, ran them in oil and made designs on them while they ran and taken a file and made them sharp and threw them. so fun
