I juest heard that FFX HD remake would also be on the Vita

Why haven't I heard of this before? I thought it was PS3 only :S

I went looking at pre-order deals today and there was nothing too good...the 'best' bundle had Ridge Racer ( lol Riiiiiiiiiidddddddgggggge Raaaccccceerrrrr ) and headphones...I was hoping for a pack with a memory card. *shrugs*

Haven't you heard the rumors? The PSVita is going to fail once it comes stateside.

If the Vita releases here, i'm sure it will cost a ****load of money. I'll have to wait a couple of years to buy one just like i did with the Xbox.

I'll be buying one after it hits NA, whether or not I buy it before or after P4 comes out on it will be determined by the games that come out for it before that. Gravity Rush looks good, but I don't know if it's enough to convince me to pick it up at launch.

Re:The Official PS Vita thread - Thursday, January 12, 2012 1:05 AM ( #5 )
The Wi-fi version is $348aus...pretty insane considering that the $AUS=$U.S atm.

But I paid $250 for the 3DS which was a POS so $348 is not bad considering how much better the Vita is hardware wise.

Finding out today that the FFX remake is coming to it though is a massive deal sweetener.

I might slap down a pre-order just so I can save for it, but there aren't many ( any ) good launch games so far imo.

When the RPGs start rolling in though there'll be no stopping.

In all seriousness the Vita does look to be a badass portable. I will likely get one in the future but not at launch. For the cost of it, games and memory, I could buy a smaller CCW firearm that I have been needing. I don't see how you can't find any of the launch titles to be good Animals, some of them look pretty sweet to me.

I have to start putting money down on one, and UMVSC3, and probably pick up Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Hope that remote play for every PS3 game is true too.

I'll pick up the 2nd generation model. JUST TO PLAY RIDGE RACER. After seeing the gameplay vids for the console / PC release (PIECE OF SHEEEEEEET!). This is the series last hope. The PSP version was good. Lots of hours spent (when I should of been working).

My surprise was reverse to yours...all the FFX news I'd heard was all about the PS3...I'd much rather play it on PS Vita. A game like that would be amazing on a portable. I didn't know it was coming to vita until about 20 minutes ago...good news is good.

I'm not a fan of handhelds but if I ever get my PS3 working again an HD FFX is something I'd probably pick up in the $10 range.

I'm sure there will be something. Hopefully it's something you can just install as an app and not have to jailbreak your Vita...I don't plan to break something that cost $350 for some SNES games...

But with all the buttons on the Vita...SNES games would be unbelievably easy to emulate.

Super Star Wars, Super Empire Strikes Back and Super Return of the Jedi are the only SNES games anyone should need.

The PSP portion of the Vita is already emulatable, nice thread btw.

Still on the fence with this.  I think the price is attractive, but I'm not too fond of handhelds and I won't pay $50 for Uncharted.

I shall wait a bit and see how everything pans out.  At least there are some cool games at decent price releasing in the launch window.

I think the OP is missing some launch titles like Motorstorm RC, Sound Shapes and a few others I'm forgetting.

As much as I want a PS Vita, I don't think I'll be getting one on launch day. I had enough money saved up, but something came up and I had to spend it all. *sigh* I'm buying one as soon as I can.

@Animals_as_Leaders

There must be some launch games you're interested in. Some people are saying PS Vita has one of the best launch lineups ever.

Have you seen Lumines: Electronic Symphony yet? I think you might like it. I just got the original Lumines on PSP last year and it's really cool. I'm definitely getting Electronic Symphony.

I'm getting one. I am prolly gonna invest quite a bit into it. If all my PS classics work for it as well as my old PSP downloads I'm golden. I dont plan on investing anymore into consoles after this so I hope this one is awesome. I'm pretty stoked about the system. I like the pregame interface with links to the game sit and the manuals built in digitally is nice. I can't wait til there is a game like KZ or BF that has a Vita versions that maintains your stats that would be earth shattering for me. How do folks see RPGs doing on the platform? Im optimistic.

I had it on Pre-Order for over 4 months, but unfortunately i had to cancel my Pre-Order & get me another PS3, my Launch Console just died last week.

Right now there are only a handful of games i'm interested in, "Uncharted, LBP, Rayman Origins & Gravity Rush". I guess i'll pick it up in "Summer" when hopefully more games are out & these launch titles are cheaper.
