I'm just pointing out what it meant. Like my sig says he was pretty hyperactive so instead of dwelling on it I have fun with the net. Plus I'm not putting it down until I get to visit his grave. Sentimentality I know but it's one of the reasons I like to keep constantly in my head so I know how much I want to go back to the Philippines. (I moved to Singapore 2 years ago from Philippines)

Plus like I said it's only to remind me of how much I want to go home. The text isn't hurting anybody and plus my friend was the type to not give a damn. yes he deserves more than one line but that I keep to myself. I don't want to tell people about him in a way that will draw sympathy. I keep it one line so it not only reminds me of my goal but it also won't be that overbearing on other users. I mean had you not asked would you have known what was my sig about would you care. No.


And that was my goal to keep a reminder without drawing much flack from people thinking I'm trying to get their sympathy because I'm not. With all that's going through my life right now the only thing I constantly get to look at is my N4G forum posts. Just go with the rest of the N4G members and don't pay too much attention to it.

Its a crude reminder of the pain that the death of a friend brings especially to those who have experienced it (as I have). Im not saying that you should have a novel in your sig. I'm saying you should have a more physical attachment that would still remind you of him even if you have to wear it around your neck or placed in your wallet. There should be no reason to have that at all. Having that as part of your reply to every ignorant post on the internet is practically a disgrace.

Well then I apologize that it has offended you but if you look at it other people like Noct and a guy who lurks but already is banned from here (TMAN) it never bothered them even though they have experienced such a loss. This is not my way of paying my respects this is my way of constantly reminding myself that I want to pay my respects. I'm in the Army for the better parts of my days so even if I had a material object I'd use to remember my friend chances are I won't see it constantly considering the army and strict rules, I live far from my camp and sometimes I just use internet cafe's so putting it in my posts is the only constant way of me reminding me of what I feel I want to do before I put that sig down.


Like I said the only thing constant in my life nowadays are army and internet, the last I saw my friend was two years ago when I was still in the Philippines, he hadn't even reached 20 no one expected him to be gone. I was in a different country when it happened so there is no object that will remind me of him unless it's something from back home.


Again I apologize but I think it's just that we have a different viewpoints, it seems to me that your loss is something that still hurts you deeply my loss hurts me too but my friend being the good "****" that he is would rather have fun. So I treat the loss rather casually and I think it goes the same with both Noct and TMAN in the sense that they're pretty sure their friends wouldn't have wanted them to constantly feel sad whenever the topic of death comes around.

My friend would actually laugh at that notion so it doesn't matter to me. Like I said he was the type to enjoy trolling albeit more in the real world, the moment I get too serious about his death way past the when is the moment I find myself feeling sorry for him and that he died. But no I don't for one second feel sorry for him he died trying to break up a fight, he was always hyperactively happy regardless how some people mistreated him over the years.


I understand that you show your respect to your dear ones by not putting them in the same context as posts like that, I show my respects to my friend in the way he always acted in life. He doesn't care if he was being laughed at or he was laughing with all that mattered to him was having fun even if it meant embarrassing himself in the process.


So when I posted my sig I did so casually it was never meant to stir up any of "this" it went three months strong without anyone even caring.

Where are you in Calc 2? I'm taking it right now too. We just finished up calculating volumes by slicing, etc. I still need to study that, actually I need to study the whole curriculum, I haven't been paying much attention actually, I need to refresh on integrals.
