Sillyace92 Still not feeling his face Why not? They changed it to look more like it was in the first 3 games. It looks way better now than in that E3 demo.

Yeah Sly's face was horrible in the E3 demo, but some of the screenshots they posted a little while afterwards (the last 5 TLG posted) have shown a good improvement, you might need to view them in full size to really see it though. Can't wait for this, been waiting for it since 2005 really but Sanzaru look like they're doing a decent job and I hope they actually are staying in touch with SP about it and that they didn't just say that at E3. I fear multiplayer will be announced for it soon though. Honestly I think it could be done in a fun way really, but I've been waiting so many years for another Sly Cooper game, I don't want the actual game (i.e. the single player) reduced in any way whatsoever. I have a feeling too from the initial trailer that Dimitri will be a playable character this time (and not in that silly swimming form from Sly 3). Here is some more artwork you might want to throw into the OP TLG: Actually they're pretty large images when I uploaded them, think I got them from Examiner when the game was first announced I'll check. Yup here's the link for anyone wondering, they're just silhouettes of the main characters: http://www.examiner.com/video-game-news-in-national/e3-2011-sly-cooper-thieves-time-fact-sheet-and-first-gameplay-screens-picture?slide=34092986#slide=34093001

Can somebody please make a new banner for the OP? Something with some artwork from the game, the Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time logo, the words "The Official Thread" and a space invader. I want this thread as official as possible. Nate-Dog Can't wait for this, been waiting for it since 2005 really but Sanzaru look like they're doing a decent job and I hope they actually are staying in touch with SP about it and that they didn't just say that at E3. Also, I'm glad clue bottles and pickpocketing are back. Maybe Sucker Punch could've pulled off a solid multiplayer along with a great single player, but since this is being developed by Sanzaru, I just want them to put everything they've got into the single player. It's looking good so far. It seems like Sanzaru are big Sly Cooper fans and want Sly 4 to have all the best elements from the first 3 games with a heavier focus on costumes.

It does but something just seems off about it. And looking at that cutscene, it doesn't seem like they'll be able to capture the quirky charm that Sucker Punch had for the originals, but I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah and they've obviously had a decent bit of experience of working with Sucker Punch so it's not like they just called them up and said "hey can we finish off your series?". I think Sly 3 was a nice sort of break from clue bottles and a lot of other regular stuff, it meant you could focus on the actual story a lot more and as well that they put more time into the story, we got a whole lot more missions and a lot of more mini-games so it was pretty cool but I am looking forward to having elements back, plus Sly Cooper did collectibles so well considering how they were laid out in each area and how you earned items from them. I'm so glad Sanzaru are picking up the disguises theme from Sly 3 too and really going to push on with how it was done in Sly 3, I thought that feature was very cool and fun in Sly 3 but it wasn't used much.

I had read a small bit about that. I don't mind it but a lot of the ideas running through the previous games were about Sly learning different moves of his ancestors and learning about them, I can't see what major advantage actually playing as his ancestors will have if he technically already knows the moves (which I suppose he probably actually won't perhaps in Thieves in Time, or at least perhaps at the start he won't and maybe he'll learn them from them there). I can see where the idea is coming from but surely there won't be much difference in playing as Sly and his ancestors.

Well this game does pick up where Sly 3 left off so maybe Sly's amnesia makes him forget all the moves he learned. What I got from the article is that Sly's ancestor's will be able to pull off more powerful techniques than what Sly is capable of . Now, when you get to play as Rioichi, you will see how much more powerful the original master’s techniques are. For instance, by focusing his energy Rioichi can execute his Leaping Dragon Technique and span great distances between spires. I think it's cool we'll get to meet and play as some of Sly's ancestors, I just hope Sanzaru knows what they're doing. I don't want them to add in so many new things that it feels too different from the previous games.

I can barely even remember the first 3 sly games, and they didn't come out too long ago. Psyched to play this though.

The Sly Collection is super cheap now and should bring you up to speed before playing Thieves in Time. The Collection is worth playing even if you've already played the games on PS2 IMO.

Oh man, there's going to be a crap ton of hot games to play end-of-year region. Black Friday will make it all the better for picking up hot deals on the cheap. Looking forward to it, Sly Cooper is my 2nd favorite game series of all time.

After seeing that vid, I have to say I'm impressed. That really does look like a true Sly game. "All the original voice actors are back"...Even Carmelita from Sly 1/2?

Yeah, the gameplay and art style looks spot on. Sucker Punch must be keeping a close eye over this games development. Sly's face looks like it could use some work still. Hopefully Carmelita's voice actor from Sly 1/2 returns.
