Setting The game will be set between 1753 and 1783, and will focus on a new ancestor, Connor Kenway, who fought during the American Revolution. Features
- Map 1,5x Bigger than Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
- Fast travel will make a return.
- You'll be able to climb trees, cliffs, and other natural elements, leapi over wagons, or slide under obstacles.
- You'll be able to dual-wield weapons.
- Context sensitive actions, such as using enemies as human shields, will also be included.
- Combat is more difficult than the previous games.
- The counter system has been completely revamped.
- You'll be able to hunt and sell animals.
- New system called Homestead.
- Multiplayer will be back.

Game has become call of duty-fied. This is the 5th one within 5 years correct? I bet what's gonna happen is Ezio is gonna take over Desmond's body (that's his name right?) or he will travel forward in time, and will have to assassinate corrupt politicians or something. Or it will still be in Renaissance italy.

Kotaku - Well, this is interesting. A Best Buy worker just emailed us two images snapped from their employee news section. One shows that Ubisoft will be unveiling Assassin's Creed IIIon March 5, and that there'll be pre-order bonuses to be had. Whatever.

Revolutionary War period makes...sense I guess. Curious to how they're gonna spin it. Assassins Creed IV better take place in Nazi occupied Paris aiding the French Resistance it's just too perfect to ignore.

I thought they just wanted 3 games in the main series. Money talks though, I mean there's two games not in the main series.

I think North America makes sense since the modern parts take place in North America, but now they have to find a way to tie Ezio to North America, which is probably easy since he was such a lady's man.

I'm not a fan of Assassin's Creed.. but I like the American Revolution thing. I have always wanted a good game set during the American Revolution or the Civil War. With so much secrecy, turncoats, the setting.. i always thought it would be awesome. I hope they go all out.

I haven't played AC since II but this looks like something I would be interested in. Colonial America just doesn't get enough attention in video games. OT: Still need a survival horror colonial America game. Reloading a musket as a disgusting creature hobbles out of the swamp would be great.
