At least they are good at it. Halo games are not that bad, even enjoyable to an extent. But I really don't think 4 more sounds like fun.

I completely agree, imo there one of the best shooter studios out there,( barring Halo Reach). But for the majority of their quite long existence all they've done is Sci-Fi shooters, from Marathon to Halo. I would really like to see something different from them. Plus what makes this worse is it isn't one game, this is what they'll be doing for the next eight or so years.

Bungie you ****heads, what happened to that dark as hell tactical Halo game you promised? I still want that. I want to be a marine or a spartan trekking through un-explored dark planets with creatures stalking me at every turn. Nowhere being safe. I want this.

Wasn't close enough for me. ODST felt like it was a crappy little expansion. The best way I can describe it is being like Republic Commando set in the Halo Universe. I feel like that would be very good.


Not to mention I'd want more creatures that aren't intelligent enough to shoot you, like carnivorous monsters running on instinct, something that would make the player actually fear for their (Character's) life.  

Wow, this is huge news.  I love reading about what goes into these business contracts.

Geoff Keighley is not happy that the news got leaked....probably because now he can't tease the **** out of it in all his GTTV commercials.  Of course he'll still probably get the CGI reveal of it at the VGA's though, and jump all aboard that hype train.

I'm eager to hear the reason you want it to bomb. The only real reason I can think of is because Activision is publishing it.


I think it's hilarious that they want 4 games and 4 expansions in a span of 8 years though.

I can understand your reasoning of wanting Rep. Commando, but I thought it was a great mixed bag.  You still have that open-ended gameplay when playing flashbacks but then also have those dark, oppressive when playing as the Rookie at night.  


It could have used that "something more" to make it be held very high like the rest of Bungie's Halos.

Activision determines which sites get early copies and will pressure them to give high praise.At the time of release a game might have a Gameranking of 91% with 8 or 9 reviews,then the other honest reviews come in with 6s and 7s.


Reminds me of the Homefront fiasco that THQ had.

It's the making PS3 only owners wait a year to then see if they want to put on the Playstation.
