Soo.... Voting. - Tuesday, October 09, 2012 11:25 AM ( #1 )
Well im voting for the first time this year, haven't really had much interest in it, but this year i want to vote and make sure Romney does not win.

I know voting won't make a ripple in the millions but i might aswel.
Most people don't like talking about who they're voting for ( why's that ) but i thought i'd give it a try.
Obama 2012.

Don't like Obama? this might change your outlook.

meh, voting for the presidential candidate is pretty useless, at least in california nowadays. Some swing states its important so go out there and vote if you are in one. I vote for propositions and measure, the state and local laws voted on by the people. those are the things that affect my everyday life and I would like to to have a say on those matters.

Elections like any lotto or voting on mass is nothing but an illusion of choice....

It is sad... politics is theater...

Gary Johnson for me

The main thing that concerns me about Obama winning is his monetary policy, he keeps allowing the Federal Reserve to continue printing up that money, and he can't keep doing that forever. I expect there to be a monetary collapse within the next few years if they keep doing what they're doing (and they will).

Not going to vote, so that's one less for both of them.

You guys are lucky that voting is optional. Here it isn't.

Voting third party because to hell with Romney and Obama. I'm not some idiot who's tricked by the whole illusion of choice spiel.

I'd rather not vote than settle for a candidate that doesn't meet my ideals. I choose to not lower my values to meet theirs. Which, IMO is much more harmful to progress of a country. I'd rather not show that as a citizen I'm willing to accept their (often) poor choices as a candidate for office. Sadly not all Americans remain true to their morals and only inhibit change.

So as an optional right, I choose to not be an additional cause to a problem I don't agree with.

@Eiffel

I've come across people like this. Was having a conversation with someone and they said that voting third party is stupid because it's not a vote for Romney or Obama, and third party would never in a million years have a chance of winning. I tried to explain why, but they think that you should be voting for the lesser of two evils. And that's a problem with America right now.

I'll vote for my City's councilmen, or my State's Senator, but I know damn well my vote for a President is meaningless.  It all comes down to who has the most money in their Campaign.

The NDAA makes me not want to vote for Obama. I can't look at Romney without the urge to punch my TV. No matter how I personally feel about the futility of voting, I don't like to discourage people from doing it. Everyone should vote if they can, especially with Republicans trying to disenfranchise voters all over the country. Vote 3rd party, or if you must vote for one of the main two, I suggest Obama simply to troll Fox News.
