open for suggestion: Puzzle and Rhythmic games - Wednesday, October 10, 2012 1:34 AM ( #1 )
hello everyone!

I just wanted to ask for some suggestions.

you see I have psp vita and an ipad 2. Most of the time I am playing RPG, puzzles and rhythmic games. If there are anyone here can suggest me some :S

I just bought my ps vita so im not really sure which games are good to play. I dont have anyplans on bricking it tho so im really really discreet on choosing what games to purchase >_>

as for my ipad it's totally jailbroken so any games will do (as long as they are available on cydia or installous XD)

OMG! this is cool! I mean this would really work out for me and my bro. lately I just really wanted to play something to make my brain work.

But uhm if it's really geniusy type of game would it really make me squeeze the strategy in me? @_@

LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita has puzzle, rhythm, RPGs and many other game types (created by the online community). It utilizes all of the Vita's features, from the gyroscope sensor to the multi-touchscreen & rear touchpad. LBP Vita is the best game you can get on PS Vita.

Puzzle-platformers: Sound Shapes, Dokuro, Escape Plan, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. The only actual puzzle game I've played on Vita is Lumines: Electronic Symphony and it's one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. Get it, I'm sure you'll love it. This puzzle game called Sunflowers just came out, that might be worth checking out.

Rhythm Games: Orgarhythm comes out October 23rd. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f was only released in Japan, but the Vita is region free. I also suggest trying the Patapon series on PSP if you haven't already.

RPGs: Ragnarok Odyssey comes out sometime this month. Persona 4 Golden on November 20th. Soul Sacrifice in Q1 and Q2 2013. I'm getting all of these.

Most games should have a playable demo.

Other PS Vita games I've played that are worth buying:

Gravity Rush
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
WipEout 2048
Super Stardust Delta
Retro City Rampage

Have fun.

I researched on the following:

Puzzle:
-Sound Shapes = Not sure for this one, it seems like not for me =[

Dokuro = at first the art is really unusual, but seen the gameplay and seems really interesting.
(Have you played this one? You’re recommending it so; it would be nice to ask you lots of question before me purchasing it.)

Escape Plan = the artistic dokuro is, this one doesn’t have any colors in it @_@
But the gameplay I’ve seen on youtube sure catched my interest (I’ll list this too)

From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack = based on the art, I’m remembering “world of goo” do they have the same creator?

Rhythmic games: I’m up for Project Diva and Patapon (been playing them with my old psp)

RPG: I’m taking Ragnarok :3 (I remember the old days XD)

I’d say you have a good taste mate :3
I think you and I can get along

Sound Shapes is brilliant imo. Get it if you like side-scrollers and music. You collect notes in the levels that make the music. Also there's a level editor so you can play, create and share levels online.

I recently started playing Dokuro. I've played about 25 levels so far (there's ~150 levels in the game) and the levels are all short, good for quick gaming sessions. There's boss battles too, so far they've been pretty simple, but it took me a while to get past some of the puzzles. The art style is really nice, there's a drawing mechanic in some puzzles where you write with chalk using the touchscreen. I'll try my best to answer any questions you have about games I recommend.

I haven't played Escape Plan yet, but I've been interested since they first announced the game and I've heard good things about it. I think the art style is pretty neat, looks good black & white. I had trouble getting the demo for this one to download, but the gameplay I've seen looks good.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack and World of Goo don't share the same devs. Drinkbox Studios started the Tales From Space series on PSN with "About A Blob" for the PS3. Now they're working on a new IP called Guacamelee, for PS3 and PS Vita which I'm really looking forward to. Mutant Blobs Attack is a must play for the Vita and it's very cheap, I highly recommend it.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and Gravity Rush are the best two games on PS Vita so far, hands down. Be sure to get those.

If you want, we can play Ragnarok Odyssey co-op when it releases. Just send me a PM with your PSN ID if you're interested. Have you seen the Mercenary Edition? It's only $10 more than the standard edition so I'm getting it.

I'll be waiting for your blog or reviews on Dokuro then. I'd love to read them soon :3
btw, is that the demo you're playing? or the JP version?

Escape plan caught my interest too, it looks challenging too based on the video that I've watched few days ago.

Yeah, those two got my attention too. I've been saving for this list. Gonna take advantage of the PSN promo
