As long as you've played Silent Hill 3 on the PC instead you'll be OK. Max Payne 1 and 2 too.

Kon PS2 was the best thing Sony has ever done. Agreed. Then it went downhill. Here's to SONY throwing in the towel with the PS3 and focusing on returning Playstation to its former glory with PS4. I had four very fun years with the PS2 until mine broke. Meanwhile, original Xbox is still alive and kicking.

Such a great console the PS2 was. Now if only Sony would stop making crap for the PS3 and release the PS4 I would be happy.

My PS2 broke shortly after I started playing San Andreas. To this day I have not played through the game.

More like: Nobody at all still playing / genuinely enjoying PS2 games = Dead. That's not going to happen - at least for a very long time. People still dust down much older consoles - some always will. If music is anything to go by, some consoles and games may be regarded as very important up to 50 years later or more. Some, rightly or wrongly, will go on boring people down the decades as people overstate how good , say, Ocarina of Time was whilst forgetting how great Banjo Kazooie was as well. The likes of Ocarina will become regarded as the canon classics like a Dickens novel that people name drop just to easily impress people.
