You will embark on an epic journey to destroy the evil mage that's terrorizing the continent.

That's good then  And i just released the patch! It may delete your saves so always make a backup copy of them. Changelog and instructions can be found here

Should I restart my game to enjoy all of the patch? I got to 3rd town, and just now installed the patch.

FYI, the patch is not working. It gives me an RPGVX RTP error once I copy all the patch files into the original folder. I'm thinking I can get to lvl10-15 by the time the next DLC arrive.

Just release the game as one big file and keep changing the original instead of trying to figure out the patch system. We should be able to use our save files w/ every version of the game IIRC.
Basically, no patches.
Just keep updating the game itself.
