Star Wars Episode VII Official Thread
-

So here's what we know so far: Disney has taken over. The writer for Little Miss Sunshine and Toy Story 3 is writing up Star Wars Episode VII. It is rumored that Disney is VERY adamant about bringing back Darth Vader even though HE DIED. JJ Abrams is the director. Harrison Ford has already signed on to play Han Solo again. Excited? Scared? Ready to kill yourself? THOUGHTS!

If the rumors of Darth coming back are true, kiss any semblance of story in Star Wars goodbye.

Could Darth comoe ack through the force like a few other sith lords? Plus...Darth got rid of his sithness before he died...if they intend on bringing him back he better not be evil. + When is it set etc? I would like it set during the Empire's rising though. That way it's a prequel, I just hope it's not ****

Vader (Anakin now) cannot come back. He's not as powerful in the force as Sideous is.

He could come back in the form as a ghost, but of course it wouldn't be the same original actor and would have to be ****ty Hayden Christensen. Only thing with that is technically he's not Darth Vader as a ghost, he's Anakin, who has become good again. They just need to continue the story line without, and if need be come up with a new villain.

I honestly can't see this movie being anything but horrible. People can bag on George for the midichlorian thing, but to bring back a character who is no longer relevant and received closure? That's just ****ting on fans. Also Little Miss Sunshine sucked the devil's ass hard.

Captain America's director said earlier today that he would be very interested in doing it. Apparently he has a long history working with Disney and with LucasArts, so that's something to watch. I have no idea what to think. Lucas always imagined Star Wars being at least three trilogies. Honestly, how much worst can it be than Episode I? Episode II wasn't all that great either, and Episode III finally was the decent one. I was very against the acquisition by Disney. But I'm not so sure now. I thought they would kill Marvel, and the movies have been done well, and the comics are still going strong. They acquired pixar and there was no drop off. They acquired the Muppets and actually brought it back. So who knows

Sounds cute. I'm looking forward to taking the troubled teen I sponsor to see it on opening day in IMAX 3D just like my foster parents did for me.
My soul is still dancing.

JJ Abrams has just signed on to be the Director. I think if anyone can make this decent, it would be him. He's a huge nerd and would most likely stick to the Star Wars canon.

Darth Vader can only come back as a Clone or as a ghost. There are jedi clones in star wars but they go crazy. Joruus C'baoth in the Thrawn trilogy was a cloned jedi and he was insane. Speaking of the Thrawn trilogy, I still say that should be episodes 7-9.

This is old news by internet time already. ;) I think he fits nicely with Star Wars and he can come up with a great visual style. I just hope he doesn't get too excited with his precious lens flare. I don't want lightsaber fight scenes to become unbearable.

B Man JJ Abrams is the director. Picture requires more lens flare if that's the case. Eiffel Also Little Miss Sunshine sucked the devil's ass hard.

Harrison Ford has agreed to come back to play Han Solo. I love Harrison Ford to death but **** time hasn't treated him well. If Carrie Fisher sings on for Lea this movie is dead in the water.

Too early to say if it will be good or bad, I can promise you it won't be the best Star Wars film nor will it be the worst. I'm just hoping the fight scenes aren't as choreographed as they were in the original trilogy, and I doubt they will be JJ will learn from George's mistakes.

Well, there it is. Carrie Fisher has signed on to return as a fat, drugged up Princess Leia that has no business being a princess.
