It's a better than the other stuff that is on The CW.  I like that he actually kills people, the action is... okay (it is television) but better than the majority of other shows out there.  It is definitely one of the darker comic book hero series I've seen on TV.  It's a small focused cast, so you know that eventually all the returning players are going to be heavily involved in one way or another (similar to Smallville writing).  Comic references are very heavy, even naming some characters after notable artists/writers of the comics.  They are introducing some notable characters, but they are not what I would expect too much.  Deadshot was introduced, for example, and was okay, but really wasted (IMHO) when he could have been much more.  They did introduce another baddie from his time on the island (which they do a lot of flashbacks on to show how he learned his skills) that I hope gets brought to the city.

I'll continue watching it because I'm a comic book fan and I'm enjoying it, but very hard to say whether others will as my 'fanboyism' may be leaning me more than I think.  But, I'd say watch the first two episodes and take it from there.  It's not bad, it's not great, but it's one of the better live action Super Hero shows I've seen on TV.

I never heard of it before now and I like it a good bit. Pretty funny, I saw some reviewers complaining about it after the first ep about how it makes no sense that he became a super assassin locked away on a island and it was stupid due to it. Some people are just stupid though unfortunately.

I hope they're continuing to watch and smacking themselves in the head after two of the last 3 episodes.

Just FYI, the TV series is following pretty closely to the more recent Green Arrow: Year One comics.

Yeah I don't get why people bash the plot without letting the makers explain whats going on. Stupid at best. But yeah, this show gets my stamp of approval. It jumps right into the action straight away too
