P4G vs Disgaea 3 vs Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward

I was wondering if you guys could give me some input on an upcoming purchase. I'm looking for a new Vita game with lots of content and these three really caught my eye. I've never played any of these games' predecessors, so which one would you guys suggest?

Virtue's Last Reward would be my pick, loved it on the 3DS Unless you've never played P4 before, and if you havn't ....what's wrong with you

I don't know what's wrong with me! I've always wanted to play the Person games but they seem daunting. Can P4 be played as a standalone game or do I need to play the earlier ones?

Each persona is a story of it's own, No you don't need to. Unless you're into the whole lore of games ect.

P4G is literally the best RPG Japan has ever produced. edit: well not the best ever but from recent years that is the best of the best.

From the looks of it I'll be going with Persona 4 Golden. Disgaea 3 seemed like there was bit too much grinding. I played the demo for Virtues Last Reward and got the feeling that if I hadn't played 999 I wouldn't have as good a time.

This is true if you have a DS you really should play 9h9p9d, but it isn't really needed, there were a few hits of 999 in LR, but the world isnt really connected. VNs are VNs after all
