redDevil87 Apparently the 720 is spec'd to have a 1.6GHz processor. https://twitter.com/marcan42/status/274856397915697152 So what does that mean, potentially? Until we know what processor architecture it uses, nothing really. Note that the 360 processor runs at 1.6GHz as well when multithreading. Nocturnus32 What are you waiting for on 360/PS3? I am waiting for GTA V and State of Decay on my 360 and that is it. Beyond, The Last of Us, Final Fantasy Versus, The Last Guardian, Tomb Raider, God of War: Ascension, Bioshock Infinite and Remember Me are currently on my watch-list. Should be sufficient to last me until the Ps4 releases, hopefully late 2013.

Note I do not associate myself with people who use this term. If you're gonna argue for something at least give a good argument instead of making the rest of us look bad with the whole "haters" spchiel.

biggamejames79 haters still mad that a STANDARD DEFINITION Nintendo Wii ruled the 7th gen and destroyed their fave HD ps360 system in console and games sales! If you mean by ruling the most sales of units up to date compared to PS360, then sure, you are right. In what it brought for gaming, the wide variety of games seen on PS360 (and not the regular decades old same IP's on a Nintendo system Mario, Zelda etc), the online part XBL and PSN (where was the Wii's???) the Wii didn't bring a lot. Some waggle here, some Wiifit there. Good you're pointing out that standard 480p definition. All the games looked like crap yo on Wii. Heck actually we should compare the Wii sales to the 480p gen king of sales, the PS2 as that is the gen where it belongs. PS2 wins in sales from the Wii by far. The Wii selling more than the PS3 or 360... If a bag of poo sold better than the piece of meat on your plate for dinner at night, you'd eat poo the next day?

sjaakiejj Satanas As a computer engineer I can assert to you that this is not true. It would be more correct to say that there are a multitude of things to consider in addition to clock speed, however, clock speed is a rather imperative thing to overall performance. So while you cannot say whether a processor performs well or not based on the merits of a high clock speed, you can certainly say that a processor's performance (regardless of architecture) will be hampered by a notably low clock speed. I think you should re-read what I said ;) I never said that clock speed has no impact on performance, I only said it doesn't tell you anything about performance. Remember that a 2.3GHz processor can easily perform much better than a 3.6GHz processor, and higher clock speed could actually hamper the performance of that 2.3GHz processor due to the way the pipeline was designed. That is, memory fetches take too many clock ticks, reducing overall efficiency of the pipeline as it empties out waiting for the memory fetch to return. The point I was making with my message was that you can't compare the clock speeds of two completely different processors and say one is better than the other. The optimal clock speed of a processor is determined not by how high it is, but how well it fits to the architecture, and it can therefore not be used as a performance measurement as it doesn't tell you anything at all about the performance of a processor. I understand what you're saying, I think I interpreted your original post too literally

The games the Wii U gets, I doubt the GPU/CPU even matters. Games do look nice made/published from Nintendo. Waiting for a new Mario RPG to come out soon.
