If you'd searched the forum a bit, you could have found a couple of threads about people that questioned themselves for buying a PSVita or not:

http://forums.n4g.com/tm....63&mpage=1#1095363

http://forums.n4g.com/Pla...y-PSVita-m1097941.aspx

An extra to get a PSVita is PS+ (certainly if you own a PS3), which is sometimes bundled with the PSVita:

http://forums.n4g.com/PS-...nnounced-m1098087.aspx

Upcoming PSVita games:
http://www.ign.com/games/upcoming/vita

You gotta question yourself in the end, do you want a dual stick full capable handheld (needed for FPS, can't go without) with the best hardware, or do you want a disabled one joystick weak hardware handheld with a 3D sales gimmick? The disabled 3DS you should only buy if you want Nintendo 1st party games the most, Mario, Zelda etc. If you want a 'homeconsole on the go' and more mature games, go PSVita. Fact is though, 3DS is longer on the market more units sold so 3rd party developers will bring more games for it at the moment, where the PSVita has to reach that critical number of units sold where it gets more attractive for 3rd party.

Bottom line though, the 3DS misses too many features: no two joysticks, not the powerful hardware, hardly real online (like full PSN access on PSVita) to beat the PSVita. Not even the games as it is a lot of Mario, Zelda rehash.

Oh BTW, the made up story that PSVita has no games is really retarded, even if you look at games rated above 7.5 on Metacritic

The only game on that entire list that I'd want to play is that Uncharted game which I've heard doesn't hold a candle to the PS3 trilogy, the rest are games I could play on a different platform.

The top 8 games are multiplatform...

@ MD

Persona 4 Golden, this gen only on PSVita (sure a remake of the PS2 game, but still new. I mean, didn't Wii also get a Resident Evil Remake? Or the many other remakes? Or what the 3DS gets?)

LittleBigPlanet nope. It has its own story. If you call this multiplatform because PS3 has LBP's too, we can call 99% of 3DS game multiplatform too, with Mario, Zelda, Kirby and others being on Wii and WiiU too in the future

Zero Escape, on 3DS too. But PSVita has the upper hand with higher resolution/better display

Sound Shapes, only on PSVita or PS3. Cross buy, so win. And the creation mode is the best on PSVita

If you say this about the PSVita line up, exactly the same can be said for the 3DS games...

Ocarina of time, remake, multiplat in your words

Cave Story is originally a PC game, got a remake for Wii ware/DSi ware

Mario, like you view LBP, is on Wii and WiiU too. Multiplat

Zero Escape, on PSVita too

Colors! 3D is a painting app...

Super Street Fighter IV, multiplat

Mario Kart 7 is multiplat too in your view

We can go on and on, but this is even more the case with 3DS than PSVita it seems. Same old same old stuff rehashed or on other platforms. If I take a look at the 3DS games, I hardly see any game I would like to play. Oh and only Uncharted you want to play, looking past Gravity Rush completely, really??? Persona 4 is a great game too. LBP the best version up to date. It might not be your personal taste, but at least this handheld brings more than the endless Nintendo rehash and the screenshots above prove it.

My post had absolutely nothing to do with 3DS. I was directly responding to your post about Vita. To answer your question though, 3DS got its own Resident Evil game, which was really well received by fans and critics alike.

Trust me though, If I wanted to spent $300+ to play Lumines I'd be all over Vita.

Well this thread is about 3DS or PSVita, so if in your view the top 8 games on PSVita are multiplat, which I clearly showed not all aren't, the same or even worse can be said for 3DS. This was just proven.

Second, the RE game then is multiplat too, if you see LBP as multiplat with its own story. That left aside, it is rated 8.2/10 good game. Again, good if your personal preference of games isn't on PSVita.

Fact remains, lots of people talk nonsense when saying a system has no/hardly any games when there clearly are, or when they say all PSVita has is multiplat, where the 3DS has the same or worse. That.

I don't think you'd be disappointed buying either, they're both great systems. PS Vita is by far the greatest handheld I've ever used. People who own both handhelds tend to prefer playing on the Vita for things like dual analogs, trophies, better visuals etc.

There is no lack of Vita games, that's just a common misconception. Tomorrow will be one year since the system launched in Japan and it has nearly 100 games in it's library. I read in an article the other day that 40 PS Vita exclusives were released in 2012. That's more than any other major gaming platform besides PC.

A lot of the Vita's games go under the radar or don't get released outside of Japan so most people don't even know they exist. Although, you can still play those games if you import them or make another PSN account since the Vita is region-free, unlike the 3DS.

I'm interested in tons of Vita games, most of them I'm holding off on buying because I have a large backlog of Vita games already. I own multiple Vita games I haven't even opened yet. Some of the best games on Vita are actually free for PS Plus members. You should look at the list of Vita games on Wikipedia. It's probably still missing a few games, but it's more complete than Metacritic's list. Surely any true gamer can find more than enough great games here to warrant the purchase of a PS Vita. A little research is all it takes.

Finally someone who talks with sense, and actually owns a PSVita too.

BTW one thing we don't know about OP, but is important, if you own a PS3 already it is almost a no brainer to get a PSVita, because of the already said PS+ free instant game collection for both systems (but just paying for PS+ once/same price as if used for PS3 only), but also the features that PSVita and PS3 (and next gen PS4/Orbis) share like cross buy on games, remote control PS3 games with PSVita and cross play where there is extra gameplay done on PSVita within a PS3 game (WiiU kind of extra gameplay) like with LittleBigPlanet 2 on PS3 is done with the update coming this Tuesday. For that last stuff see this thread:

Wrong. Just a fan of PSVita/PS3 combo that hates all the dumb 'no games' and more nonsense. There should be more fans doing this, as there are too many non owners that do anti-marketing for it. Maybe you are paid by Nintendo to do so?

Would make sense... Which brings me to: too many fans that have their first post in these N4G forums with the choice between 3DS and PSVita claiming it has no games etc etc, which maybe is some sort of viral marketeers trying to steer the discussion.

If you're just going to post to say something dickish then don't comment at all, or if you think you're getting to anyone then you're no better than those you claim are infantile from the main page. At least the people on there don't pretend to be anything else than what they are.

You make yourselves look so stupid going to threads people make and don't even debate properly. Never responding directly to what others like Nutsack say. Always dodging Nutsack's responses to your dumb claims  no matter how much effort and truth he provides. It's like seeing someone talk to a dumb baby, then they say they work for Sony, completely disclaiming every fact and proof of evidence brought to the argument while you provide nothing.
Now I can't wait to see what dumb response I'm going to get about all that I just pointed out.

I have a Vita and honestly I find myself ignoring it now after that first initial new hardware high. I bought it with umvc3 and uncharted which I played for a good month, then after that I started playing it less and less....even less since I got my Galaxy s3. I do still buy games for it from time to time with Most Wanted being my most recent vita purchase and Castlevania SOTN as my ps1 classic. I might start playing it more if there were more games I'm interested in for it. Hell I'd buy Okami HD if there was a port since it seems like the perfect platform for it.

Oh? How about people that enter a thread like you just discuss about the facts given by me above? It seems that the ones hating the PSVita come in and say stuff like 'one is paid to market it' instead of focussing what is just said.

Which is what you do too, derailing a thread by going offtopic about a member.

Going offtopic constantly, or attacking users for no reason that give facts and talk within the subject of the thread which I did above and you don't, will get your posts deleted.

I really don't care you hated the Wii for its first 3 years. I own a Wii since day one and I enjoyed some games on it, although I hated that it was last gen hardware. Doesn't give you any more credit. Now try to get on topic, for once.

You post wiiunderpowered in threads that have nothing to do with it. Your argument is invalid. Again, this is why there should be a mandatory lurking period. So you don't come into these forums and start posting like a ninny.

Also I never said anything about the PSVita. GB2FrontPage

After all that offtopic nonsense, as this thread was about 3DS and PSVita, and yet still not talking about the facts... Ah well.

And Colbertinator, indeed, but lets keep them thinking I am kinda funny!

I'll try to get back on topic, lets see if the offtopic going ones let it be ontopic.

The 12 PSN Christmas deals (in EU at least) were only for PS3 too bad, then there are the EU festival deals upcoming starting 9th of January, at the moment only PS3 stuff announced, but the mods of PS Blog EU have said they'll come back to some deals for PSVita. So if you pick up one, some deals might be up soon.

At this moment, there is Raymans Origins on sale for about 15 Euro for PS+ users, 17 Euro for non PS+ users
