Gaming advice?

Hey guys, I need some advice. I recently just finished AC3 which for all intense and purposes finishes all the games I set out to play/own, finishing all my stories ect. Yet I find that I'm not ready to quit, next gen, just like this one I won't get for a year or so into the cycle to give time to digest and built a library I may or may not want. This generation is also the first in which I've bought both consoles. Now I know that there are games I've skipped just because they don't interest me or graphically have been outdone by later console releases. So without further ado here is what I'm asking. I'll give a list of games I have and ones i'm looking at. What I need is your advice of games that I should try to hold me off and can be a nice down timer until such a time I want to jump into next gen. Games are just a nice pick up and play for five minutes when not dealing with the real world. Something to do as a downer instead oft whittling my thumbs. Also, I feel I've ended this gen on a pretty clean slate so I don't want to start something that will have a major cliffhanger or suck me into next gen. So stand alone like mirrors edge are a plus. Here we go... Xbox Forza3 Fallout new Vegas Gears of war 1,2,3 Medal of honor L4D 1,2 Orange box Portal 2 Batman 1,2 Skyrim Red Dead Redemption Mirrors edge Bioshock 1,2 Mass effect 1,2,3 Modern Warfare 1,2,3 Black ops World at war Battlefield 3 Bad company 1,2 AC 1-5 Halo 1-3, odst, anniversary, reach. PS3 GoW 1,2,3 LBP 1,2 Uncharted 1,2,3 Resistance 1,2,3 Medal gear 4 GT5 Heavy Rain Here's what's still on my list beyond two souls Last of us SofC collection -last guardian Bioshock infinite And finally I'm considering dishonored for my ps3 as a nice stand alone like mirrors edge, thoughts on this? So with all that said, anything I'm missing or should play, waiting on next gen? Thanks

Kon Yeah you're missing Halo 4 and Dragon Age Origins. Dragon Age Origins is a must, although if you have a PC that can run it i'd highly recommend going that route. I played it through on PS3 with sketchy frame rates only to see the PC version once I had finished it then facepalmed at my own ignorance. Binary Domain is worth a spanking as well. Both games could be picked up these days for less than a blowjob.

Do you like RPG's? TLG's list, plus a PC, plus Demons and dark souls. You could also downland Emulators and get old games that you might have missed......ya'll might find he might not like Dragon Age, seems like he hasn't played any game with that type of combat system this gen, plus get The Witcher 2 on Xbox if you don't have a PC to play it on.

AuToFiRE Kon Yeah you're missing Halo 4 and Dragon Age Origins. And every PC game ever. You mean Minesweeper, Pinball and Solitaire. Kon Darksouls is awful, i genuinely don't want you to get that. The opposite of this is the truth. Kon has terrible taste.

I like games that are challenging, but I don't like games that punish you incessantly for dying. That's all.

Oh ok. I liked that about Souls games. I like that death has a penalty instead of being an annoyance. It makes me not want to die a whole lot more than other games. Death 'for once' is a big part of the game. It's kinda like perma death, except perma death is much more punishing, although you get the point. Dying is a very bad thing in these games. It makes encounters and risks more exciting(among other emotions)

I recommend Dark Souls. Its the best game of this generation. Don't try to play it like Devil May Cry and you'll be fine.

Kon Yeah you're missing Halo 4 and Dragon Age Origins. is Dragon Age Origins really good? I bought it a few months ago for like $4 , played it for like 15 minutes and didn't like it... And the fact that is has like 8 different stories doesn't motivates me to go back to it because I really hate games like those. That's why I skipped Suikoden III even though I was a huge fan of the first 2 games.... What is the best story of Dragon Age Origins to you? So that way if I feel like giving it another chance around next summer I might start with that one.
