The Official BioShock Infinite Thread - Friday, December 21, 2012 6:54 PM ( #1 )

Developer: Irrational Games
Publisher: 2K Games
Platforms: PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360
Genre: First Person Shooter
Release Date: March 26, 2013

The third game in the popular Bioshock series, BioShock Infinite breaks away from the underwater setting of the first two games to take players into a floating city held aloft by dirigibles. The game is set in 1912. You play as Booker DeWitt, a disgraced former private detective who's picked up a new case. Your goal is to find Elizabeth, a young woman who's gone missing and return her unharmed. The only problem is that she's being kept on this flying city. Columbia was once a symbol of America's success as a nation, floating around the world as a traveling World's Fair, a marvel of human innovation. But strange things have happened since Columbia's unveiling in 1900, and now the city has disappeared into the clouds.

You can pre-order a physical PC version for $38 when Newegg has their 72 hour pre-order sales. I made a thread for it and I bump it whenever I know they're having one.

Pretty much. Only retail games though. Sometimes they offer $10 off any game $40+ and sometimes it's $12 off any game $50+. Someone always posts a story on the main page with the promo code. They haven't had one in a couple months though.

Gonna post this since you didn't.

First few minutes of the game. It has a ressemblance to the first game and it sure got me interested and I had no interest in this game whatsoever.

Looking forward to this. Liked the initial reveal and what it sounded like. Playing through the first game now to get a feel for the series first though.

Those unsolved mystery style trailers are fantastic. I was so so on the first, felt the controls were way to clunky, but with an overall good experience. Didn't play the second but have bought in hook line and sinker to Infinite.

Got my SongBird edition payed off. Can't wait till the 26th. Also IGN apparently has an exclusive first on the review, and those journalist wonder why people complain that they may be corrupt.
