Game collection pictures thread - Tuesday, January 01, 2013 3:56 PM ( #1 )
I've been thinking about making this thread for a while, but I never got around to it. I'm sure there's one like it already but I couldn't find it, so now there's a new one! This thread is just a place to post a picture of your game collection and your gaming setup (systems, tv, etc). So just leave a picture (or pictures) and comment on other peoples collections. Maybe some good gaming conversations can be started here! I'll start-  (Sorry the pics are so big, couldn't figure out how to make them smaller)

Nice collection MattyG. I used to have one that impressive but I sold it all off. I still have quite a few games though.

Thanks! I try to never sell my games now, whenever I used to sell them I wanted them back a week or so later. I'm not good with letting things go!

How is Scribblenauts Unlimited? I have been on the fence about buying it for my Wii U.

It's fun, but I'm debating how much I actually like it overall. The concept is great, the art style is cute, but something about the execution bugs me. Every puzzle seems like there should be many ways of doing it, but really they're usually looking for one specific answer. For example, a kid said "I want to be entertained", so I made a comedian. But the game wanted me to answer "parade" so even though comedian fit the puzzle, a parade popped up in front of the kid as well. It's annoying to come up with a clever answer and have the game say "nope, not good enough, here's what you should've done". That and the menus are very cumbersome. Just to be able to type in an answer takes about three taps. Those are my main two gripes with the game. I've only played an hour or two so it might improve drastically, but for now it's a fun game, just a bit flawed in it's execution.

Like you, I sold my games before this gen, so it's not large. Also, you don't know how to shrink an image? Lol

My game collection.

Where the magic happens:

Also have a pile of PS2 games on a shelf somewhere, CD book full of burned Dreamcast games, handful of GameCube games, and a Zelda SNES cartridge.

too bad I don't have a camera right now beside the crappy webcam on my netbook but between NES, Snes, PS1, PS2 and PS3 I have around 200 games.

Not on this forum. Your picture is the same size as mine though so I think the forum fits all the pictures to one size.

I think there's a maximum. If the the image is smaller than whatever that may be, then I don't think it'll blow it up. You gotta reduce the file size on your own computer I guess. It's more than what should be necessary, but whatever.

AHHHHH I love the vault-tec bobblehead! Now, I've been thinking about this for a while and I can never ask it without some PC vs Console war starting, but do you think it would be smart to abandon consoles next gen and build a powerful PC? It just seems easier to have a Steam library, (and cheaper).

Judging by your collection of new games, you can probably afford both. I've always thought PC/PS3 was the best combo. I had a lot of PS3 games, too, but sold them off after my 2nd YLOD. Most 360 "exclusives" also appear on PC, so I think the 360 is redundant if you game on PC.

That being said, PC will be my primary going forward. I've done both PC and consoles since Oregon Trail and Mario, but I don't like where the console business is headed right now. I feel way less screwed by publishers on PC.

Haha, I don't have a neverending flow of cash (I'm only 16, no job at the moment). This collection is from YEAAARS of saving and wheeling and dealing on Craigslist (Xbox is from selling a whole LEGO collection, sold my dads old wheelchair for him to get the 3DS, selling odds and ends for the Vita. Most of the other stuff is just all my Christmas/ birthday money combined). Anyways, I've always been a Playstation gamer, since I was about 4. I just never got around to building a PC. It does seem like you get more bang for your buck out of a PC. And I can live without Gears of Halo, they  just don't do it for me anymore.
