Question for other Wii U Owners

So I think I may be having a problem with my gamepad (Not sure). Or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Currently I have only been playing Wii games (HUGE backlog to finish). So every time I turn on my Wii U, I sign in, put my password in, press the Wii mode option, turn my Wiimote on and point and click on Wii Menu. After this the Gamepad automatically shuts off, and I'm now in Wii mode using my Wiimote to navigate and play wii games. I have been doing this for the past few weeks. Here is the problem. My gamepad seems to just run out of battery for no reason. All I use the Gamepad for now is signing in and clicking the Wii mode option, THATS IT. But after 3 separate gaming secessions, the Gamepad will just be dead, and needs to be recharged, WHEN I DIDN'T EVEN USE IT. WTF? Is it actually secretly turned on when I'm in Wii mode and it's draining battery and I dont know about it? Anyone have this problem?

Haven't had any problems with mine. Might try the sync option again, mine shuts off fine and starts up with no issues. Check google for similar issues.
SOCOM 2 HD PLEASE :)

My wife and I have been playing New Super Mario Wii and the gamepad shuts off while we use the wiimotes like it should. When I go to turn the game off and return to the Wii U menu, the gamepad turns on just fine and has no issues. Try re-syncing it and if that does not work contact Nintendo support and i'm sure they will help you out.

I played Skyward Sword the other day and then went back to ZombiU and it was fully charged still. I have another issue that I was wondering if anyone else has had. When I go to certain menus (Miiverse, eShop, etc) the picture being shown is too big for my TV so about an inch gets cut off on all sides. I've messed with every display setting in the WiiU and the TV and nothing fixes it. Anyone else have this problem?

This might help with your problem?
