N4G Let's Leave Google+

anybody else think n4g members should abandon google+? let's be honest the site sucks, always showing feeds of people or companies i don't have on my circles and the site is pretty much like facebook only less popular

I don't see the point unless you have a personal issue with Google or social networking sites in general (and if the latter then well why would you have even signed up in the first place). If you don't like the site then cool that's your own issue but I don't see why you need to ask others to stop using it if they like using it to interact with other N4G users in a different place and form.

n4g lied to me they said google+ is better than facebook but it is not it's pretty much a poor man's version of facebook and a tiny amount of people use the site it is dying but certain people refuse to pull the plug, google+ it's going to go the way of myspace. it's time to get away from the sinking ship brah.

I don;t like face book or google plus... I don;t like anything like that said... I my internet foot print is big enough...




I did like those social sites... I think it would be a little different if you were assured that when you closed out your file that it would be deleted... that and Facebook shares there informations as well as sells it...


When they say we only share with our affiliates well it is those affiliates that sell the info and kick it back up to facebook...




That said... 


I don;t like them... to easy to get too and it is a little creepy the Idea of putting all that info up on to the net....
  We have some family that announce when they are going out where how long it s just silly... and with people competing on how many face book friends they have it is just madding who they add...


That it is also just a place for people that want to hook and have sex...  One friend I have has slowed down but he used to meet all sorts of wives and girlfriends all through face book...  He is a slutty guy did not matter who... if they were interested he would sleep with them and found that it was better to sleep with those that had a husband or girlfriend  because all they want to to was have sex and go home... without any issues...


He got in touch with every one he knew in his past...  and a lot of people use it for just that...  Old flames to reconnect for a night...

@Rot, Google has always tried to force their fail ideas on users, remember Google Video? Me either. Lately it's harassing Youtuber's to get G+ accounts. They're only good at buying out competition because they fail so hard at competing.

I love Google, but some of their services just seem irrelevant.

i dont know how you are getting companies messages, i only get a majority of my followers and you guys appearing on my stream. And I cant get away from G+ as it would be a crime against my 4000 followers

All of the reasons you posted are fixable with a tiny bit of common sense.  Go ahead though, our N4G+ gang has obviously done well enough without you.

i barely use facebook. its a complete failure, all the changes to facebook were basically the ideas of google+ as they rolled out, while I enjoy my 30 member hangouts with Bill Nye, Neil Degrasse Tyson, etc, you can continue to have fun with honey boo boo


And as long as you are signed into youtube, you dont get ads. Also adblock plus

i already use adblock i am not that into fb but at least it doesn't want you to connect to a hundred things like g+ and the layout isn't as ugly, if anything is a failure is google+ it's a ghost town especially here in the us.

connect to things? lol I have no idea what you are doing but I have the opposite problem, facebook wants to connect to everything and yet G+ is sitting there being awesome, with its animated gifs, intelligent community, and load of gamers. With the recent addition of communities its been pretty fun.

Lol you must be using some Canada version or something the one i use doesn't ask me to update my info once or twice a month it also does not recommend me to add companies. I get the feeling you don't like fb because you are not as popular as you are in google+ but that is to be expected fb has a lot more users and groups and is more active. If g+ is so awesome why is it so unpopular? and google is trying to shove it down our throats they have ads on tv and are fooling people into signing for the site. FB spread by word of mouth google+ has millions in backing by one of the most popular internet companies and it's still struggling.
