House of the Dead Overkill : Extended Cut . House of the Dead 4.

I was wondering whether House of the Dead 4 has inferior graphics to House of the Dead Overkill : Extended Cut. Even though HOTD4 only came out on the PSN in 2012, the game first came out in the arcades in 2005.
 
They both have about the same review ratings (about as high as light gun games can tend to get these days - 75%-80%).
 
Are there any notable differences between the games that you have recognised? From what I've seen HOTD4 seems to be scary type zombies in some relatively modern settings like many Japanese arcade games. Overkill appears to be more about 'grind house', as they say, pulp fiction laughs (with swearing if you don't mind that) and therefore possibly more likely to make it stand out to Western audiences who don't necessarily go mad for light gun games unless they're stylised as traditional gothic horror and tongue firmly in cheek.
