Is it possible in theory to have a Xbox 360 lan party like you could with a computer?
Is there any limitations?

Why wouldn't it be possible? Of course it is. Only limitations are set up by the games you're playing. If they don't have LAN you cannot play.

Is there any limitations
All players need to have the same version/region release of a game, some Platinum Hits releases don't play nice with standard releases.
